Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 16th August 2026 Written Update: Armaan and Abhira Search for Missing Kabir, Myra Faints
Today’s episode begins with Armaan strongly objecting when the inspector decides to take Myra to the police station. He tells the inspector that Myra cannot be taken away like this. The lady inspector explains that they are simply following the required legal procedure and Myra has to give her statement.
Madhav intervenes and reminds everyone that he is a retired police officer and understands the procedure. The inspector asks the family to cooperate.
Armaan refuses to let Myra go alone. He makes it clear that he, along with Myra’s lawyer Abhira, will accompany her to the police station. The inspector finally agrees.
Abhira Blames Herself
At the police station, Myra’s statement begins to be recorded.
Abhira becomes increasingly restless while waiting outside. She starts blaming herself for everything that has happened and wonders whether Sanjay was right when he criticised her parenting.
However, she also realises that Armaan’s possessiveness comes from his concern for their daughters. She feels grateful that Armaan is always protective of Myra and Mukti.
Unable to remain there, Abhira walks out.
Armaan notices her leaving and decides to follow her.
Abhira tells Armaan that they cannot remain trapped in anger and guilt. They need to find Kabir before the situation becomes worse. She advises Armaan to release his anger somehow so that they can calm themselves and concentrate on finding the missing boy.
Armaan takes a stick and hits a wall, finally releasing some of his frustration.
Abhira asks him whether he feels better.
Armaan admits that the Damanis are constantly triggering him. Their accusations against Myra have made him furious, but he knows they cannot waste time fighting with them when Kabir is still missing.
The Damanis Plan to Defame Myra
Meanwhile, Raghu and Samar continue discussing Myra.
Raghu feels that Myra might actually be telling the truth. However, Samar refuses to believe her.
Samar brings up Myra’s past and claims that she had once got her stalker arrested. He also accuses the Poddars of having a criminal record and tries to portray Myra as someone who could be capable of harming Kabir.
Samar then comes up with a disturbing plan.
He suggests spreading false information about Myra so that her image is damaged. According to him, the pressure will eventually force Myra to reveal what she knows about Kabir.
Raghu strongly objects.
He tells Samar that they cannot destroy an innocent girl’s reputation simply because they are desperate to find Kabir. Raghu believes Myra may genuinely be telling the truth.
He reminds Samar that if Myra is innocent, then they will have to face the consequences of falsely accusing her. He even says that God will punish Kabir if he is responsible for all this.
Samar, however, remains determined to prove Myra guilty.
Myra Decides to Find Kabir
Back with the Poddars, Armaan and Abhira decide that they cannot simply sit and wait for the police investigation.
They have to find Kabir themselves.
Myra also becomes determined to search for him.
Mukti tries to stop her, worried that Myra may put herself in danger. But Myra refuses to listen.
She tells Mukti that Kabir is missing because of her. She feels guilty for leaving him on the road and believes that she has a responsibility to find him.
Myra asks Mukti to either support her or allow her to go and search for Kabir alone.
The Poddar family understands Myra’s emotional state and agrees that finding Kabir should be their priority.
Armaan, Abhira, Myra and Mukti begin looking for him together.
Myra Collapses
As the search continues, Myra becomes increasingly anxious.
She cannot stop thinking about Kabir and worries about what might have happened to him.
Her anxiety becomes overwhelming.
While walking, Myra suddenly feels weak and loses consciousness.
At the same time, Raghu and Nandini are travelling in their car when they notice Myra lying unconscious on the road.
They immediately stop and try to help her.
Meanwhile, Vidya informs Armaan and Abhira that Myra and Mukti are missing.
Armaan and Abhira become worried and start searching for them.
Soon, they encounter Mukti.
The situation becomes even more tense when they learn that Myra has been found unconscious.
Raghu and Nandini try to take Myra to the hospital so that she can receive medical attention.
However, when Armaan sees Raghu with Myra, he immediately becomes suspicious.
Armaan Confronts Raghu
Armaan rushes towards Raghu and demands to know where he is taking Myra.
His anger gets the better of him, especially after everything the Damanis have said about his daughter.
Armaan confronts Raghu and becomes so furious that he is almost ready to hit him.
The atmosphere turns extremely tense as Abhira and the others watch the confrontation.
Armaan is desperate to protect Myra, while Raghu insists that he is only trying to help her.
The episode ends with Armaan’s anger reaching its peak.
Precap
Abhira asks Armaan to apologise to Kabir’s parents.
Meanwhile, she is excited about a special day and appears determined to bring some romance back into their relationship.
Armaan wonders what the special day is about.
Kajal comments that everything eventually finds its balance, but romance naturally changes with time.
Abhira refuses to accept that and says she will never allow the romance to disappear from her and Armaan’s relationship.
Review
This episode balances the mystery surrounding Kabir with the emotional turmoil within the Poddar family quite well. Myra’s guilt is becoming stronger, and her decision to search for Kabir herself makes her character more sympathetic. At the same time, Armaan’s anger towards the Damanis is understandable, but his reaction towards Raghu shows how dangerously emotional the situation has become.
The most troubling development is Samar’s plan to spread false information about Myra. Raghu’s decision to oppose him gives the Damanis’ side a much-needed layer of conflict rather than making everyone blindly accuse Myra.
The ending with Myra collapsing and Armaan nearly attacking Raghu sets up another explosive confrontation. Meanwhile, the precap provides a lighter romantic track with Abhira determined to keep the spark alive between her and Armaan.
