Sairaab 17th August 2026 Written Update: Nayanika Decides to Stay Away from Ishaan as He Reads Her Emotional Diary
The episode begins with Bishu informing Nayanika that he and Ishaan will be leaving the day after tomorrow. He tells her that he has already spoken to Dr. Ray about their plans.
Nayanika asks Bishu to take care of himself and Ishaan. She remains calm despite knowing that Ishaan is leaving her life.
Bishu reminds Nayanika that he had once asked her to stay with them, but now that seems impossible. He makes it clear that he has not come to beg her to return to Ishaan.
Nayanika quietly tells Bishu that Ishaan is richer than her in every way. She questions what she can possibly give him when she feels that she has already caused him enough pain.
Bishu says that Ishaan could end up ruining his life because of this love and insists that Nayanika should put a stop to it.
Nayanika agrees that Ishaan needs to focus on his music and maintain his position in the industry. She believes that he has a bright future ahead of him and should not allow their complicated relationship to destroy it.
Bishu becomes more emotional and tells Nayanika not to try to contact them again. He says that Ishaan has given her so much, but according to him, Nayanika is not worthy of everything Ishaan has done for her.

Shisho warns Ujjaini about Nayanika
Meanwhile, Shisho confronts Ujjaini.
He tells her that she has behaved unfairly with Nayanika and says that he will continue to remain in contact with her.
Ujjaini coldly tells him that he can do whatever he wants.
Just then, they overhear students gossiping about Nayanika and Ishaan.
The students mock their relationship and even joke about whether Ujjaini will eventually start calling Ishaan her father.
The comments deeply affect Ujjaini.
She and Shisho go to the canteen, where Ujjaini admits that she is unable to live peacefully because of the situation involving her parents.
She becomes so overwhelmed that she says she sometimes feels she should have died.
Shisho immediately tries to make her understand that Nayanika being a mother does not mean that she has to give up her entire personal life.
Ujjaini asks him to stop defending Nayanika.
Shisho tells her that he would be happy if Ujjaini could simply accept that Nayanika has a life beyond being her mother.
But Ujjaini refuses.
She says that Nayanika is no longer her mother in her eyes and admits that she feels uncomfortable whenever Nayanika enters her room.
Ujjaini also reveals that Nayanika will be leaving the house after a few days.
Shisho becomes worried and asks what will happen if Nayanika takes a wrong step because of the emotional pressure.
Ujjaini confidently says that Nayanika will not do anything like that because she has Ishaan’s love.
Shisho reminds her that nobody should take another person’s emotions for granted.
He asks Ujjaini not to judge Nayanika so harshly.
Nayanika breaks down while writing
At the hospital, Nayanika sits alone and writes poetry in her diary.
The emotions become too overwhelming, and she starts crying.
Her poems appear to be an outlet for everything she is unable to say openly.
Meanwhile, Dr. Ray tells Ishaan that he should return home and take proper rest.
Ishaan says he wants to go home because he believes he will feel more comfortable there.
Just then, Nayanika arrives.
Ishaan gets invited to a special hospital event
The hospital dean informs them that the hospital has organized a special programme to honour Ishaan.
He asks Nayanika to convince Ishaan to attend the event.
Nayanika, however, refuses to force him.
She tells the dean that she and Ishaan do not share that kind of relationship anymore, so Ishaan’s decision should be respected.
Her words hurt Ishaan.
He feels that Nayanika has rejected him once again.
Ishaan decides that if Nayanika can reject him, then he will also reject her emotionally.
However, when the hospital dean asks him directly about the programme, Ishaan agrees to attend if his presence makes the hospital staff happy.
He makes it clear that he cannot perform because he is still recovering.
The dean then suggests that it would be wonderful if Ishaan could perform Sairaab live during the event.
He reminds Ishaan that the following day is also the funding-day celebration.
Ishaan says he will discuss the matter with his team.
Eventually, he agrees to perform.
Nayanika continues to maintain her distance
Nayanika examines Ishaan before leaving.
Despite everything happening between them, she continues to behave professionally.
Ishaan watches her leave.
However, something unexpected happens afterward.
He finds Nayanika’s diary.
Curious, Ishaan opens it and begins reading the new poem she has written.
The words give him a glimpse into Nayanika’s emotions and the pain she has been hiding.
The episode ends with Ishaan reading Nayanika’s deeply emotional writing, unaware of how much it reveals about her feelings for him.

Our Take
This episode is driven more by emotions than major confrontations, and that actually works well for the current track.
Nayanika’s decision to step away from Ishaan is heartbreaking because she clearly still cares for him. Her statement that she will be happy if Ishaan finds a good life partner shows that she is trying to sacrifice her own happiness for his future. At the same time, she is also trying to convince herself that staying away is the right thing to do.
Bishu’s harsh words make the situation even more painful. Nayanika could have defended herself, but instead she accepts his accusations because she believes Ishaan deserves a better life.
Ujjaini’s track is equally emotional. Her anger comes from feeling that she is losing her mother, while Shisho tries to make her understand that Nayanika is also an individual with her own emotions and needs. The conflict is not going to disappear quickly because Ujjaini is still unable to accept Ishaan’s place in Nayanika’s life.
The most interesting development comes at the end when Ishaan discovers Nayanika’s diary. After believing that Nayanika has rejected him, reading her poetry could make him question whether she truly wants to stay away from him.
