Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 20th August 2026 Written Update: Kabir Apologizes to the Poddars, Myra Meets Him Secretly
The 20th August 2026 episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai brings Kabir and Myra closer despite their families’ bitter rivalry. While Kabir arrives at the Poddar house to apologize, Myra later meets him secretly. At the same time, Abhira and Armaan try to bring some romance back into their relationship, while a new problem involving Madhav’s work creates another layer of tension.
The episode begins with Mukti becoming worried about the situation and deciding to stop the family from leaving. She asks Myra to somehow stop Kabir.
Just then, Abhira notices Myra and Mukti rushing somewhere and questions them about it. Mukti quickly makes an excuse and talks about the project instead of revealing the real reason.
Abhira then asks Myra and Mukti to get ready because the family is going out for ice cream. Both of them try their best to avoid the plan.
Mukti suddenly claims that she has caught a cold.
Abhira immediately decides that she will stay with Myra and Mukti instead of going anywhere. Armaan also says that he will stay back.
Krish comes up with a solution. He suggests that Armaan take Abhira and Mukti in a separate car with a heater so that Mukti can remain comfortable despite her cold.
Just then, someone knocks on the door.
Meanwhile, Raghav is waiting for Kabir and is worried about his son. Bhairavi asks him not to worry so much and reminds him that Kabir can take care of himself.
Raghav suspects that Kabir may have gone to meet Myra.
Bhairavi, however, says that she trusts Kabir and believes that he will go after Myra if that is what he truly wants.
At the Poddar house, Armaan is shocked when he opens the door and finds Kabir standing there.
Kabir apologizes to the Poddars for all the trouble he has caused over the past few days.
He is also surprised when he learns that Armaan is Myra’s father.
Armaan immediately asks Kabir to leave.
However, Abhira notices that Kabir appears genuinely sorry. She tries to make Armaan understand that Kabir may actually be sincere.
Armaan remains unconvinced. He believes Kabir is simply wasting everyone’s time.
Mukti then clarifies that Myra had no idea Kabir was coming to the house.
Armaan finally decides that the family should go ahead with their ice cream plan.
Manisha points out that the roads are blocked because of the rain. Abhira therefore decides that they should simply order ice cream at home.
The family settles down and enjoys their ice cream together.
Meanwhile, Nandani questions Kabir about his friend and asks why his friend did not stop him from coming out in such heavy rain.
Kabir is about to take Myra’s name but stops himself.
Samar immediately asks him who his friend is.
Kabir quickly lies that his friend’s name is Mayank.
Samar shares a light-hearted comment with Raghav, remembering how he too used to make excuses about going to his friend’s house.
Back at the Poddar house, Myra asks Mukti whether Kabir has completely lost his mind. She cannot believe that he actually came to their house just to apologize.
Armaan notices Mukti’s cold and gives her soup.
Mukti is shocked when Armaan tells her to have it because she supposedly has a cold.
Myra starts laughing at Mukti’s situation.
Mukti retaliates by eating Myra’s ice cream.
Meanwhile, another issue emerges when Dinesh asks for cash to pay his son’s fee.
Madhav struggles to arrange the money, but Abhira manages to help him.
Abhira then asks Madhav whether he has discovered anything about the fraudulent account.
They realize that the account belongs to an employee of Rasbora.
Madhav asks Abhira to keep the matter hidden from Armaan.
However, Armaan soon notices that something is being hidden from him.
He directly asks Abhira what Madhav is keeping secret.
Abhira quickly covers up the situation by telling him that she has booked a salsa class.
Madhav becomes worried because he knows Armaan may get angry if the truth comes out.
Meanwhile, Bhairavi comes up with a new business idea.
She suggests launching pickles as a way for the family to make a comeback.
Kabir contributes another idea and suggests selling the pickles among his friends.
Bhairavi becomes impressed and says that Kabir could eventually become an even more successful businessman than Samar and Raghav.
Later, Mukti reminds Myra about their perfume-making class and asks whether she will arrive on time.
Myra assures her that she will.
Abhira then tells Myra and Mukti that she is going to a salsa class with Armaan.
The two laugh at her excitement.
Madhav decides to drop Myra and Mukti, but he suddenly receives a message and rushes away after seeing it.
Meanwhile, Myra secretly meets Kabir at college.
The two discuss their families and the rivalry that continues to stand between them.
Despite everything happening around them, their feelings for each other remain obvious.
Elsewhere, Abhira and Armaan begin their salsa class.
As they try to learn the dance steps together, they get another opportunity to spend some quality time with each other.
The episode ends with both couples moving closer to situations that could become complicated very soon.

Myra explains that they will be going separately and insists that nothing is wrong.
Meanwhile, Abhira tells Mukti that she is also going to the firefly festival with Armaan.
Mukti is shocked.
She immediately worries about what could happen if Myra, Kabir, Abhira and Armaan all end up meeting each other at the festival.
Review
This episode does a nice job of pushing the Myra-Kabir track forward without making their relationship completely open yet. Kabir’s decision to visit the Poddar house and apologize shows that he is willing to take a step toward ending the hostility, but Armaan clearly isn’t ready to trust him.
The funniest part comes from Mukti desperately trying to hide Kabir’s arrival while Abhira keeps unknowingly making things difficult for her. The ice-cream and soup scenes provide some much-needed lightness.
At the same time, Abhira and Armaan’s salsa track continues the show’s effort to bring their romance back into focus. But the upcoming firefly festival could turn everything upside down, especially if the two couples unexpectedly cross paths.
The Madhav fraud-account subplot is another interesting development because Abhira is now hiding something from Armaan, which could create trouble later.
Overall, the episode balances romance, family rivalry and light comedy well, while the firefly festival promises a potentially awkward collision between the four youngsters.
