Mannat 22nd August 2026 Written Update: Vikrant Struggles To Hide His Memories As Dhairya Grows Suspicious
The episode begins with Vikrant confronting Dhairya, leaving Mannat worried that their entire plan could be exposed. Vikrant is unable to control his anger and directly argues with Dhairya. Mannat immediately understands the danger. She quickly signals Vikrant to control himself because one wrong reaction could make Dhairya realize that he has regained his memories.
Mannat therefore pretends to defend Dhairya.
She scolds Vikrant for unnecessarily accusing Dhairya and makes it appear as though she is upset with him for targeting Dhairya without any reason. Vikrant understands what Mannat is trying to do and eventually leaves.
Dhairya then turns towards Mannat and plays the innocent card once again.
He claims that he has no idea why the Rajvansh family is targeting him. He says that even Vikrant seems to be against him despite the fact that he has never tried to hurt his own brother. Dhairya continues pretending to be completely innocent.
Mannat has to make a tremendous effort to control her anger.
She knows exactly what Dhairya has done, but she cannot expose herself or the plan at this stage. Instead, she pretends to believe him and assures him that she trusts him. Dhairya becomes happy after hearing this and feels that Mannat is still on his side.
Mannat then suggests that they can cancel the birthday celebration if it is causing so much trouble. She says that she does not want the children to get hurt because of the situation.
Dhairya immediately refuses.
He reminds Mannat that Dua has worked hard to arrange the special celebration for him. He does not want to disappoint her and says that he will celebrate his birthday with everyone. He then asks Mannat to give him five minutes so that he can freshen up.
Mannat excuses herself.
Once alone, Dhairya’s thoughts become darker. He realizes that someone is determined to expose him. Vikrant lost control earlier, and Dhairya starts wondering whether it was actually an act.
He begins questioning everything.
Could Vikrant have regained his memories?
Dhairya knows that if Vikrant has actually remembered the truth, he could send him straight to jail. The possibility makes him extremely nervous.
Meanwhile, Dua is worried about Dhairya and wants to check on him. Yashika stops her and asks her not to go. Dua explains that she is worried because her baba does not seem well.
Yashika understands that Dua genuinely loves Dhairya, but she feels that he does not deserve such affection.
Yashika subtly tries to make Dua understand that Mannat has chosen Vikrant as her life partner, which means Vikrant is clearly a better person for her. She tells Dua that Vikrant is her father and she should focus on expressing her love for him instead of worrying so much about Dhairya.
Dua tells Yashika that she loves her papa very much.
However, she also explains the difference in her feelings. Vikrant is special to her because he is her father, while Dhairya is her baba and a good friend. She refuses to stop caring about him simply because someone else thinks she should.
Dhairya arrives while they are talking.
Dua excitedly tells him that she has prepared a special speech for him. Dhairya thanks her and then suggests that she invite Vikrant to the celebration as well.
Dua agrees.
She goes to Vikrant and invites him to listen to her speech.
The moment Vikrant sees his daughter, his emotions become difficult to control. He notices Dhairya’s shadow nearby and immediately remembers that he has to continue pretending.
He therefore acts coldly towards Dua.
Vikrant refuses to acknowledge her as his daughter, leaving Dua heartbroken. She begins crying, and Vikrant struggles to watch her in pain. He finally tells her that he does not like seeing children cry and agrees to attend the party.
Dua then delivers her speech.
She talks lovingly about her papa and expresses how much she loves him. Her words are meant for Vikrant, even though she cannot openly say everything she feels. Vikrant becomes emotional while listening to his daughter.
Mannat notices his reaction and immediately signals him to control himself.
Dhairya, meanwhile, watches Dua carefully. He begins wondering whether her words are actually about him or whether she is indirectly expressing her feelings for Vikrant.
Dua later talks to Vikrant about their past.
Vikrant again puts on his act and refuses to acknowledge her as his daughter. Mannat pretends to be angry with him for hurting Dua and follows him when he walks away.
Dua is left believing that her parents are arguing because of her.
Once they are away from everyone, Mannat scolds Vikrant for becoming emotional. She reminds him that Dua is extremely intelligent and can easily understand that he has regained his memories.
Vikrant finally lets his emotions out.
He tells Mannat that Dua is his daughter. He asks how long he can continue pretending to hate his own child. Every time he rejects her, he feels as though he is hurting his daughter all over again.
He cannot accept it anymore.
Mannat understands his pain but asks him to control himself. She reminds him that Dhairya must not become suspicious. They have managed to stay ahead of him so far, and they cannot ruin everything by making one emotional mistake.
Vikrant agrees but warns Mannat that Dhairya is extremely dangerous. He believes Dhairya will never willingly admit what he has done and will continue manipulating everyone to protect himself.
Mannat then comes up with another plan.
She suggests that they take Vishaka’s help.
According to Mannat, Vishaka is the only eyewitness who can potentially help them prove what Dhairya has done. If they can get her support, they may finally have a way to expose him.
Vikrant agrees but warns Mannat to be extremely careful.
Just then, Mannat notices Dua nearby.
She immediately changes her approach and begins pretending to argue with Vikrant again. She demands that he apologize to Dua for hurting her feelings.
Vikrant understands the act and apologizes to Dua.
The episode ends with the family still unaware of the dangerous game being played beneath the surface. Vikrant has regained his memories, Mannat knows the truth, and Dhairya is slowly beginning to sense that something is not right.
Precap
Manyata attacks Dua, leaving Vikrant furious. He slaps Manyata and scolds her for hurting Dua. He warns Manyata to stay away from Dua.
Dhairya witnesses Vikrant’s reaction and becomes suspicious that Vikrant may have finally regained his memories.
Review
The episode handles the biggest advantage Mannat and Vikrant currently have very well: Dhairya still thinks he is the one controlling the situation. The interesting part is that the audience knows he is slowly losing that control, even though he has not completely realized it yet.
Vikrant’s emotional struggle also gives the episode its strongest moments. Pretending not to recognize Dua is clearly becoming harder for him, and Mannat has to keep pulling him back before his emotions reveal everything. Their plan is working, but it is becoming increasingly difficult to maintain.
Dhairya’s suspicion adds the right amount of tension. He is no longer blindly believing the memory-loss story, and his questions about Vikrant’s behaviour could become dangerous very quickly. The introduction of Vishaka as a possible eyewitness also gives Mannat and Vikrant another route towards exposing him rather than relying only on a confession.
And honestly, Dhairya may think he is controlling the game, but Mannat and Vikrant clearly forgot to send him the rulebook. His confidence is beginning to look a little premature.
Rating: 4.5/5
