Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 22nd August 2026 Written Update: Karan’s Emotional Gift To Samaira, Tripti’s New Plan For Shanti Niketan

The episode begins on an emotional note as Karan gifts a beautiful Ganesh idol to Samaira. Rather than simply giving her a present, Karan uses the moment to make his daughter understand something far more important—the depth of a parent’s love.

Karan explains that children often fail to understand how deeply their parents care for them. In difficult moments, they may feel that their parents are standing against them, but sometimes the decisions they make in those moments end up hurting the very people who have always stood by them.

His words touch Samaira deeply.

She begins to understand the pain her actions caused Karan and realizes that her father was never trying to take away her happiness. He was simply afraid of seeing his daughter make a decision that could hurt her in the future.

Samaira becomes emotional and hugs Karan.

She sincerely promises him that she will never repeat such a mistake again. The moment brings the father and daughter closer, with Samaira finally acknowledging the emotions behind Karan’s earlier opposition.

Meanwhile, the atmosphere at Shanti Niketan takes a completely different turn when Didi Bhai demands non-vegetarian food.

Tripti explains that there is nobody available in the house who can prepare or serve it. Didi Bhai, however, refuses to accept the excuse. She points out that she eats non-vegetarian food and believes the family should have made arrangements for her.

The conversation could easily have turned into another family argument, but Tulsi handles the situation calmly.

She respectfully tells Didi Bhai that if they were staying at a hotel, she would have happily arranged whatever food she wanted. However, this is Shanti Niketan, the home of Amba Virani, and there are certain rules that have always been followed in the house.

One of those rules is that non-vegetarian food cannot be brought or served there.

Tulsi makes it clear that she cannot break a tradition established by Amba Virani simply to satisfy one person’s demand. At the same time, she does not insult Didi Bhai. Instead, she reminds her that the family has prepared plenty of vegetarian food and that Bengalis know very well how to make vegetarian dishes enjoyable.

Didi Bhai is not entirely satisfied, but Tulsi stands firm.

The conversation then takes a more sensitive turn when Tripti suddenly brings Mihir Virani into the discussion.

She questions Karan about Mihir’s absence and asks how he could be missing when Tulsi is his wife.

Didi Bhai immediately becomes curious.

She asks who Mihir Virani is, giving Tripti the perfect opportunity to reveal more information. Tripti tells her that Mihir is Karan’s father as well as Tulsi’s husband.

The revelation leaves Didi Bhai surprised.

Tulsi, meanwhile, becomes visibly uncomfortable.

Didi Bhai begins questioning her about Mihir’s absence. She points out that Mihir should have been present for such an important and auspicious occasion. She cannot understand why the engagement was held on this particular day if he was unable to attend.

She even suggests that the engagement could have been postponed until Mihir was available.

Tulsi tries to handle the questions carefully.

She explains that Mihir is busy with his commitments and could not attend. But Didi Bhai is not convinced by the explanation. Her curiosity only grows stronger, and she starts wondering whether there is something deeper happening between Mihir and Tulsi.

Tripti watches the situation carefully.

Her questions may sound innocent on the surface, but Tulsi can sense that they are creating unnecessary doubts in Didi Bhai’s mind. Tripti appears determined to use Mihir’s absence to uncover whatever secret the family is trying to keep hidden.

Tulsi tries to avoid revealing too much.

She knows that once the subject of Mihir becomes a major discussion inside the house, controlling the situation will become extremely difficult. Every answer could lead to another question, and Tripti seems more than happy to keep asking them.

The situation becomes even more concerning when Tripti decides that she will stay at Shanti Niketan.

Her decision immediately makes Tulsi uncomfortable.

Tripti’s presence means that she will now have more opportunities to observe the family closely, ask questions about Mihir and look for anything that might expose the truth.

Tulsi realizes that Tripti is not simply staying there casually.

There is a motive behind it.

Tripti, meanwhile, appears increasingly confident that she will eventually discover where Mihir is and what has really happened.

The episode ends with the tension surrounding Mihir’s absence growing stronger. Tulsi knows that Tripti is digging into a matter that could create serious complications, while Tripti seems determined to stay close to the family until she gets the answers she wants.

Precap

Tripti directly asks Tulsi whether she truly has no intention of revealing where Mihir is. She confidently tells Tulsi not to worry because once she stays at Shanti Niketan, she will eventually discover the truth herself.

Tripti then takes her plan one step further and deliberately makes Didi Bhai ill. When everyone starts discussing who should stay back to take care of her, Didi Bhai herself asks Tripti to remain at Shanti Niketan.

Tulsi is left stunned as she realizes that Tripti’s plan is beginning to work.

Review

The episode has a nice emotional opening with Karan and Samaira before smoothly shifting into the more suspenseful Mihir-Tripti track. Karan’s conversation with Samaira feels meaningful because it isn’t simply about accepting or rejecting her relationship; it is about a father finally making his daughter understand the emotions behind his decisions.

Tulsi’s handling of Didi Bhai’s food demand is another small but effective moment. She neither becomes unnecessarily confrontational nor bends the rules of Shanti Niketan just to keep someone happy. That balance works well for her character.

The real intrigue, however, begins once Mihir’s name enters the conversation. Tripti clearly knows that his absence is a sensitive subject, and she is slowly turning Didi Bhai’s curiosity into a weapon. Her decision to stay at Shanti Niketan makes the situation even more interesting because she is no longer asking questions from a distance—she is putting herself right in the middle of the family.

And Tripti is already looking far too comfortable with her new strategy. Tulsi may think she is simply dealing with a few awkward questions, but Tripti has apparently decided that Shanti Niketan is now her personal investigation headquarters. Someone might want to tell her that she wasn’t exactly handed a detective badge with the house keys.

Rating: 4/5

“When a secret is guarded by silence, the person who asks the right questions can become more dangerous than the person who already knows the truth.”
