Sairaab 23rd August 2026 Written Update: Shisho Defends Nayanika as a Shocking Pregnancy Claim Rocks the Family
The episode begins with Shreya complaining that Nayanika never gave enough importance to Ujjaini or to her responsibilities toward the family. According to Shreya, Nayanika is only interested in getting married and moving ahead with her own life.
Jaya asks Shreya to stop discussing the family conflict and focus on the happy occasion instead. Akash asks the priest to begin the rituals, and Indrani and her husband start performing the marriage ceremonies. The family members happily participate and clap for the couple as the celebrations continue.
Meanwhile, Malini says that she wants to meet Nayanika.
Shreya immediately suggests that Nayanika might be busy talking to Ishaan on the phone. Malini dismisses her comment and says that Shreya has a habit of saying whatever comes to her mind.
Malini asks her husband Jaydeep to accompany her, but he refuses.
Gabloo, however, tells Malini that he wants to meet Nayanika.
Mini also notices that Nayanika is missing from the celebrations and asks Ujjaini to call her downstairs. Ujjaini refuses.
Just then, Shisho arrives with a gift for Indrani and her husband. Indrani happily accepts it and tells everyone that Shisho is Ujjaini’s future husband. She asks him to bring his parents to meet the family sometime.
Shisho agrees.
He then asks about Nayanika.
Ujjaini immediately takes him inside, avoiding the topic.
Meanwhile, some guests begin questioning Nayanika’s absence. They find it strange that she is not present during such an important family celebration.
Rudra makes a dismissive remark and says that Nayanika’s relationship with the family will not last long. He adds that she will eventually shift to another house permanently.
One of the guests says that they have already seen news about Nayanika and even questions whether she has lost her mind.
The guest then praises Angana for managing the family so well.
Akash immediately steps in.
He reminds the guests that Nayanika took care of the family even without her husband and questions how they seem to know so much about Angana. He tells them to stop discussing the matter and simply enjoy the food.
Meanwhile, Malini goes to Nayanika’s room.
She asks Nayanika why she did not come downstairs and whether Shreya has told her everything.
Malini claims that the entire family is unhappy because of Nayanika’s actions.
Nayanika calmly tells her that Malini should not have come to her room.
Malini responds that unlike Nayanika, she knows how to behave respectfully. She tells Nayanika that Ujjaini does not want her downstairs.
Nayanika asks when she ever said that she wanted to be part of the function.
The conversation leaves Nayanika visibly uncomfortable.
Elsewhere, Shisho questions Ujjaini about Nayanika’s absence.
Ujjaini tells him directly that she does not want Nayanika at the function.
Shisho is surprised by her attitude.
He asks her to think about Nayanika’s wishes as well and tells her not to become so narrow-minded that she stops considering another person’s feelings.
Ujjaini asks him not to continue discussing the subject.
Shisho refuses to simply let it go.
He reminds Ujjaini that they are in a relationship and should have the freedom to discuss difficult matters with each other. He even tells her that had he known Nayanika was being deliberately kept away from the function, he would not have come.
Shisho then makes his position clear.
He says that he respects Nayanika deeply.
He refuses to treat her badly simply because Ujjaini is upset with her.
Shisho then goes to meet Nayanika.
Mini overhears the conversation and tells Ujjaini that Shisho is actually a very good man. She advises Ujjaini not to let someone like him slip away.
Meanwhile, Nayanika tells Malini that she cannot continue staying in Basu’s house because Ujjaini does not want her there.
Malini tells her that she is financially independent and can easily stay in a hotel every day if she wants.
But then Malini brings Ishaan into the conversation.
She reminds Nayanika that Ishaan is wealthy and has a responsibility toward her because he applied sindoor to her forehead.
Malini goes even further and suggests that Nayanika must have allowed Ishaan to do it because she herself had feelings for him.
Shisho happens to hear the conversation.
He immediately becomes angry.
He scolds Malini for insulting Nayanika and refuses to allow her to question Nayanika’s character.
Malini eventually leaves.
Shisho then turns to Nayanika and tells her not to sacrifice her own happiness just for Ujjaini.
He reminds her that she cannot spend the rest of her life making every decision according to what Ujjaini wants.
Shisho also asks Nayanika not to reject Ishaan.
Nayanika refuses to discuss the matter.
She clearly does not want Ishaan’s name to become part of the conversation again.
Shisho respects her decision but assures her that he will always support her.
The episode ends with Nayanika receiving some much-needed support from an unexpected person, even as her relationship with Ujjaini continues to deteriorate.

Mini and Romeo bring Nayanika downstairs so that she can eat with everyone.
Suddenly, Shreya makes a shocking announcement.
She tells everyone that Nayanika needs to take care of her health because she is pregnant.
Rusha is stunned and asks Shreya what nonsense she is talking about.
Shreya then produces a medical report as proof.
Nayanika and Ujjaini are left completely shocked.
Review
This episode quietly strengthens Shisho’s character, and that is probably its biggest positive. While almost everyone around Nayanika is busy judging her, questioning her choices or deciding what she should do, Shisho is one of the few people who actually asks her what she wants. His decision to defend her even when Ujjaini disagrees with him makes his relationship with Ujjaini considerably more complicated.
Nayanika’s situation is becoming increasingly painful because she is being treated like a problem in a house where she once played such an important role. The constant comments about her marriage, Ishaan and her personal choices are clearly taking a toll. At some point, everyone might want to remember that Nayanika is a person, not a family discussion topic that can be passed around with the snacks.
The Malini-Ishaan conversation is deliberately uncomfortable because Malini takes Nayanika’s situation and turns it into another reason to question her character. Shisho stopping her is a welcome moment, especially because Nayanika herself is too emotionally exhausted to keep defending every decision she has made.
And then comes the pregnancy bombshell.
The precap completely changes the equation. If that medical report is genuine, Nayanika’s already complicated connection with Ishaan could become explosive. If it isn’t, someone has gone to considerable lengths to create an entirely new crisis around her. Either way, the next episode has plenty of explaining to do—and Shreya looks far too confident for this to be an innocent misunderstanding.
