Udne Ki Aasha 24th August 2026 Written Update: Sayali Decides to Leave the Deshmukh House as Renuka’s Health Crisis Deepens

The episode begins with Pankhudi becoming increasingly upset over Renuka’s repeated disrespectful behaviour towards Sayali. Renuka once again speaks harshly to Sayali, and this time Pankhudi finds it impossible to remain silent. She cannot understand how her mother can continue insulting Sayali despite everything she has done for the family.

Pankhudi decides to speak up for Sayali.

Sayali also refuses to let the matter slide. She makes it clear that her daughter should not have to tolerate humiliation simply because they are living under the same roof. For Sayali, the issue is no longer just about herself. She does not want Pankhudi to grow up believing that remaining silent in the face of injustice is the right thing to do.

The argument quickly becomes heated.

Akash takes Pankhudi into the room, hoping to prevent the situation from escalating further. However, Sayali loses her patience and directly confronts Renuka. She refuses to accept the way Renuka has been treating her and makes it clear that she will not stand by while her daughter is also dragged into the family conflict.

Just then, Sachin arrives.

He manages to stop the argument before it goes any further. But Sayali has already reached her breaking point. She tells Sachin that she cannot allow Pankhudi to keep living in an environment where they are constantly made to feel unwanted.

Sayali then takes a firm decision.

She decides to return to Ganapati Phule.

Sachin tries to calm her down, but Sayali refuses to change her mind. She tells him that she has tried to adjust and remain patient, but there is a limit to how much humiliation a person can tolerate. More importantly, she does not want her daughter to keep witnessing the same behaviour.

Sayali enters the room and starts packing her belongings.

Sachin watches helplessly as she prepares to leave the Deshmukh house.

However, just when Sayali is ready to walk away, Sachin reveals something that completely changes the situation.

He tells her that Renuka’s health has deteriorated.

The doctors have discovered a blood clot in Renuka’s brain, and the condition could have a serious impact on her memory. Sachin explains that they still need the final medical report to understand the exact situation and what treatment Renuka may require.

The revelation leaves Sayali stunned.

Sachin then makes an emotional request.

He asks Sayali to stay for just another twenty-four hours.

He does not ask her to forget everything Renuka has said or done. Instead, he simply wants her to remain with the family until Renuka’s final medical reports arrive. He tells Sayali that he is already struggling to deal with his mother’s condition and does not know what the next few hours will bring.

Sachin hopes Sayali will understand what he is going through.

Sayali is still deeply hurt, but Renuka’s health makes it difficult for her to simply walk away.

Meanwhile, Riya remembers the things Sayali had told her earlier and discusses the situation with Akash. Akash is also concerned about Pankhudi. He understands that the constant tension inside the house could affect her emotionally, especially after seeing the way the adults are behaving around her.

The situation becomes tense again when Roshni and Renuka taunt Sayali for continuing to stay in the house despite everything that has happened.

They question why Sayali has not simply left if she is so unhappy.

Sayali chooses not to respond.

She knows that Renuka is unwell, and at this point, she does not want another confrontation to make the situation worse. Her silence, however, is not a sign that she has forgotten everything. She is simply putting Renuka’s condition ahead of her own anger.

Soon, Riya arrives and firmly takes Sayali’s side.

She refuses to remain quiet while Sayali is being blamed for the situation. Riya understands that Sayali has not stayed because she wants to create more drama. She is staying because Sachin has asked her to remain there until Renuka’s medical reports arrive.

Sayali explains the situation to Riya and tells her that Sachin has requested twenty-four hours.

Riya understands her decision.

Meanwhile, another issue concerning Arya is also settled.

Akash makes his position very clear to Riya. He tells her that he will not send Arya to a boarding school. He does not want to separate their daughter from the family, especially when she is already emotionally dependent on the people around her.

Riya had been worried about Arya’s future and had considered the possibility of sending her away, but Akash’s decision finally gives her something to think about.

Back at the Deshmukh house, Sayali remains caught between two difficult choices.

On one side is her dignity, her daughter and everything she has endured from the family. On the other is Renuka’s health, which has suddenly turned into a serious medical concern.

For now, Sayali chooses to stay.

But it is clear that this is not a permanent surrender.

She has simply agreed to give Sachin the twenty-four hours he requested.

The episode ends with the Deshmukh family anxiously waiting for Renuka’s final medical reports, while Sayali remains in the house despite everything that has happened.

Review

This episode works because Sayali’s decision does not come across as an impulsive reaction. She reaches the point where she genuinely believes leaving is the only way to protect herself and Pankhudi from repeated humiliation. Her decision gives the family conflict some emotional weight rather than making it feel like another routine argument.

Pankhudi standing up for Sayali is also one of the more meaningful parts of the episode. The conflict is no longer limited to the older generation; the younger members are beginning to recognise what is unfair and are unwilling to simply accept it as normal family behaviour.

Renuka’s health revelation changes the entire equation. Just when Sayali is ready to walk away, the situation becomes much more serious than a family dispute. The blood clot revelation adds genuine uncertainty to the track, especially because the impact on Renuka’s memory could change the family’s dynamics completely.

And Sachin’s twenty-four-hour request feels like a temporary truce rather than a solution. Sayali may stay for Renuka, but the problems that pushed her toward the door have not magically disappeared. The family has essentially bought itself one day—not a clean slate. Now the big question is what those final reports will reveal and whether they will change Renuka’s behaviour, the family’s attitude towards Sayali, or both.

Rating: 4/5

“Sometimes staying doesn’t mean you have forgiven everything; it simply means someone’s pain matters enough to make you pause your own.”
