Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai Upcoming 25th August 2026 Written Update: Janmashtami Puja Creates Tension Between Armaan and Abhira

Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is heading toward another round of family tension, and this time the trouble is connected to the upcoming Janmashtami celebrations. The festival has not even arrived yet, but the preparations have already started creating disagreements in the Poddar household.

The biggest issue is that this year, the Damani family will perform the Janmashtami puja instead of the Poddar family. This change does not sit well with Armaan, Abhira and several other family members.

Damani Family Takes Over the Janmashtami Puja

The Poddar family has traditionally performed the Janmashtami puja, making it an important family tradition.

However, this year things are going to be different.

The Damani family will take charge of the puja, and this decision immediately creates tension inside the Poddar house. Armaan is particularly upset because, for him, this is not simply about performing a ritual.

It is connected to the family’s traditions and emotions.

Abhira, however, tries to make him understand that if the Damanis are performing the puja this time, there is no need to turn it into a major conflict.

But Armaan is not ready to accept the situation so easily.

Armaan and Abhira Again End Up Arguing

Since the Damani family’s entry, Armaan and Abhira have found themselves caught in arguments repeatedly.

Even while they are busy with ordinary household work, the discussion somehow comes back to the same issue.

Armaan is seen ironing clothes while Abhira is busy arranging them. Yet their attention is clearly somewhere else.

The ongoing tension surrounding the Damanis has started affecting the entire household.

Armaan feels that the Poddar family should continue following its traditions, while Abhira believes that the situation does not need to become a fight every single time.

She reminds him that God and faith should be bigger than family ego.

But Armaan’s emotions are currently getting the better of him.

The Family Is Divided Over the Idol

The disagreement becomes even more serious when the question of the Janmashtami idol comes up.

The elders are emotionally attached to the idol and the tradition of the Poddars performing the puja.

That is why there is resistance to handing it over to the Damanis.

For Armaan, this is particularly difficult because it is happening for the first time.

The fact that someone outside the Poddar family will perform the puja makes him uncomfortable, especially because the tradition has always been associated with the family.

Abhira, on the other hand, is trying to look at the situation practically.

She does not want another family dispute to spoil the festival.

Armaan Focuses on Mukti’s Badminton Training

Amid all this family drama, Armaan is also concentrating on Mukti’s fitness.

Mukti is preparing to participate in a badminton championship, so Armaan wants her to be in the best possible physical condition.

He creates a proper routine for her and makes sure that she exercises regularly.

Mukti’s stamina and fitness are important because she has an upcoming badminton tournament, and Armaan is taking her preparation seriously.

He is not simply behaving like a strict father. He genuinely wants Mukti to achieve her goal.

Mukti Struggles While Mayra Enjoys Her Favourite Food

But there is one major problem with Mukti’s fitness routine.

Mayra.

While Mukti is following a strict diet, Mayra is happily eating all the tempting food right in front of her.

Kachoris, juice, jam bread and other favourite snacks are suddenly everywhere.

Naturally, Mukti finds it extremely difficult to resist.

She wants to eat the same things, but Armaan refuses to let her break her diet.

He reminds her that if she genuinely wants to become a successful badminton player, she has to take care of her health.

Instead of junk food, he encourages her to eat healthier options such as fruits, yoghurt and other nutritious foods.

Mukti may feel irritated watching Mayra enjoy everything she loves, but Armaan is determined to keep her focused on her goal.

Armaan Needs to Be Patient

The upcoming episodes therefore bring two very different kinds of tension into Armaan’s life.

On one side, there is the growing disagreement over the Janmashtami puja and the Damani family’s involvement.

On the other, he is trying to help Mukti prepare for an important badminton championship.

Abhira continues to support Armaan but also feels that he needs to calm down and stop allowing every disagreement involving the Damanis to turn into another family battle.

Perhaps she is right.

Sometimes, holding on too tightly to traditions and emotions can create bigger problems than the original issue.

The Janmashtami celebrations are still some time away, but the conflict surrounding them has already begun. Whether Armaan eventually accepts the Damanis performing the puja or another major showdown takes place before the festival remains to be seen.

For now, one thing is certain — the Poddar family’s Janmashtami celebration is unlikely to be peaceful.

Review

The upcoming Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai track balances family drama with a lighter subplot involving Mukti’s badminton preparation. The Damani family’s involvement in the Janmashtami puja gives Armaan another reason to become emotional about the Poddar traditions, while Abhira’s practical approach creates a natural contrast. Mukti’s fitness track also adds some warmth and family bonding to the episode. The real question is whether Armaan will finally learn to separate family traditions from unnecessary ego clashes.

Rating: 4.5/5

“Traditions are meant to bring families together; when ego enters the celebration, even devotion can turn into a battle.”
