Anupama 25th August 2026 Written Update: Anupama Loses Her Confidence Before the Grand Finale
The episode begins with Anupama completely shattered as she thinks about the competition and the dream she has worked so hard to achieve. She breaks down in front of God and questions why He never seems to listen to her prayers. Anupama recalls how she had only asked for one thing—that nothing should come between her and her dream. Yet, just when she is finally close to achieving it, another obstacle has appeared.
Anupama wonders what she has done wrong and why her prayers seem to go unanswered.
Prerna, Ishani and Banku notice Anupama crying. Banku immediately decides to cheer her up and asks whether she would like to eat pizza. Anupama sadly reminds him that she has lost her sense of taste. The simple question only makes the situation more emotional because food, which has always been her strength, has suddenly become her biggest challenge.
Jaya then comes to Anupama and talks about her broken dream of having a house. Anupama tells her that her own dream has also been shattered at the moment. Jaya asks what will happen now, but Anupama assures her that whatever happens, she will still make sure that Jaya gets her dream house.
Banku decides to drop Jaya at school. Before leaving, Jaya wishes Anupama luck for the competition.
Hasmuk then asks Anupama to get ready for the grand finale. Anupama refuses. She says she cannot go because God has taken her dream away from her.
Hasmuk refuses to let her give up so easily.
He reminds Anupama that she offers prasad to God even without tasting it. According to him, perhaps this is God’s way of testing her. He reminds her that she has spent years perfecting her cooking skills and has trained herself so well that she does not always need to taste a dish to know whether the balance of salt, sugar and spices is correct.
Hasmuk asks her to stop doubting herself and start trusting everything she has learned.
Digvijay also tries to motivate her. He reminds Anupama that the judges give challenging tasks in every round. If they suddenly ask her to prepare something without tasting it, will she simply walk away from the competition?
Ishani makes an even more emotional point. She reminds Anupama that if she is confident enough to rebuild Jaya’s broken dream house, then she should also have the courage to rebuild her own dream.
Anupama remains worried about what the judges will think if they discover her condition.
Digvijay points out that if nobody tells them, there is no reason for them to know. He continues to praise Anupama and reminds her that she is still the best.
Prerna also asks Anupama to stop overthinking and go to the grand finale.
But Anupama’s fear has already taken hold of her.
She looks at Anuj’s picture and begins talking to him. In her imagination, Anuj tells her that she is capable of doing anything. Yet even his encouraging words are not enough to completely restore her confidence.
Anupama admits that she is scared.
For the first time, the woman who has repeatedly fought through impossible situations is genuinely unsure whether she can overcome this one. She ultimately refuses to join the grand finale.
Meanwhile, Paritosh is busy counting the money he received.
Pakhi catches him and immediately becomes suspicious. She confronts him and demands to know where the money came from. Pakhi threatens to tell Anupama if he refuses to reveal the truth.
Under pressure, Paritosh finally admits that Gautam gave him the money and instructed him to make Anupama eat the packet of snacks. However, Paritosh claims that he did not know what Gautam was actually planning.
Pakhi becomes frightened and wonders whether Gautam could have poisoned Anupama.
Paritosh assures her that Gautam would not kill Anupama and points out that the doctor has already said that she is fine. Pakhi then turns the situation to her advantage. She demands a share of the money and threatens to expose Paritosh if he refuses.
Paritosh reluctantly shares the money with her.
Soon, they notice Ishani and Prerna getting ready to leave for the competition.
Both become nervous.
They wonder whether Anupama has changed her mind and is also planning to return. Paritosh worries that if Anupama participates in the grand finale, Gautam could demand his money back.
Pakhi makes it clear that she has no intention of returning the money.
Paritosh agrees with her.
Meanwhile, the grand finale begins.
The atmosphere is filled with excitement as the contestants prepare to perform. Vasundhara notices that Anupama’s team has arrived and questions Gautam. She reminds him that he had claimed Anupama’s team would not even perform.
Gautam asks her to remain calm.
He points out that Anupama and Digvijay are still missing and insists that they will not return.
The host introduces the trophy and the prize money, raising the excitement among the contestants.
Prem notices that the other team does not seem particularly happy and wonders what is happening. Rahi is also worried and keeps wondering where Anupama and Digvijay are.
Gautam confidently tells Vasundhara that an announcement will soon be made declaring Anupama’s withdrawal from the competition.
Back home, Paritosh is convinced that Anupama will not arrive.
Pakhi, however, reminds him that Anupama has a habit of doing the unexpected.
At the venue, the host announces that Anupama and Digvijay are late.
Prem immediately becomes concerned. He starts wondering whether Vasundhara has something to do with their absence.
Rahi refuses to believe that Vasundhara could have gone this far, but she too becomes increasingly worried.
The judges—Manpreet, Roy and the others—make the situation clear. If Anupama does not reach the venue within the allotted time, she will be disqualified from the competition.
Prem still hopes that Anupama will arrive.
He wants to defeat her fairly rather than win because she was forced out.
The countdown begins.
Meanwhile, Vasundhara watches everything unfold and thinks about Prem. She tells herself that she loves him so much that she is willing to do anything for him—even if her actions end up hurting him.
The episode ends with Anupama’s participation hanging by a thread.

Anupama realises that her sense of taste has still not returned. She struggles even to identify sugar and salt correctly. As she reaches the stage, her anxiety begins to take over, leaving her unsure of how she can possibly compete under these circumstances.
Review
This episode does something interesting with Anupama’s struggle: the real battle is no longer happening between the contestants. It is happening inside Anupama herself. Her biggest opponent right now is the fear that she may no longer be capable of doing the one thing she has always trusted herself to do.
Hasmuk’s words work particularly well because he doesn’t magically solve her problem. He simply reminds her of something she has forgotten—years of experience cannot disappear overnight just because one ability has temporarily been taken away. Anupama may have lost her taste, but she hasn’t lost the knowledge stored in her hands, mind and instincts.
The Paritosh-Pakhi track adds another layer of danger. Their decision to keep the money rather than expose Gautam immediately makes the situation even messier. And honestly, the duo’s logic seems to be getting more creative by the minute: when in doubt, apparently, keep the money and hope nobody asks questions.
The grand finale is where the episode really leaves us hanging. Gautam believes his plan has worked, Vasundhara believes she is protecting Prem, Prem wants to defeat Anupama fairly, and Rahi is desperately waiting for her. Meanwhile, Anupama is fighting the clock along with her own fear. Everyone thinks they know how this finale will go—and that is usually when Anupama has a habit of changing the entire equation.
