Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 27th August 2026 Written Update: Abhira and Armaan Give Krishna Idol to Damanis, Mukti Gets Selected for Dubai Academy
The episode begins with Armaan and Abhira busy cleaning the room. Abhira gets annoyed with Myra and Mukti and asks whether they keep changing their clothes in every corner of the room. She lectures them about keeping the room clean. Myra says that this is why she wanted the house helper to clean it. Armaan reminds her that Ratan already has plenty of work and cannot be expected to clean their room as well. He asks Myra and Mukti to clean it themselves.
Meanwhile, Armaan and Abhira once again get into an argument over whether they should give Lord Krishna’s idol to the Damanis. Armaan says he cannot break Kaveri’s heart because the idol has been extremely important to her for years. Abhira understands his concern but points out that they cannot hurt the faith of thousands of people just because of one person. She asks Armaan whether Lord Krishna belongs to only one person. Abhira firmly says that faith matters more than the idol itself.
Myra and Mukti notice Armaan and Abhira fighting and question them about why they are arguing with each other because of the Damanis. Just then, a ball comes flying towards Abhira, but Armaan quickly saves her from getting hit. Mukti explains that some children are playing outside.
Myra decides to hit the children back, but Armaan stops her. He tells her that there are other people around and she cannot hurt everyone because of one person. Armaan suddenly realizes that his own words support Abhira’s argument. Abhira tells him that they should calmly discuss the matter with Kaveri.
Kaveri looks at the idol and asks Armaan and Abhira whether they have finally made their decision.
Meanwhile, the Damanis remain worried about getting the idol. Nandani tells Raghav that she has already spoken to Abhira. Raghav asks what Abhira said. Nandani explains that Abhira promised to discuss the matter with her family.
Raghav remains convinced that the Poddars will never hand over the idol. Kabir then asks about the Rasleela. Raghav explains that the couple who wins the Rasleela competition will get the opportunity to perform the Maha Aarti.
Back at the Poddar house, Abhira thanks Armaan for supporting her. The family prays to Lord Krishna, while Kaveri becomes emotional and asks Krishna to return soon because she feels that her home is incomplete without him.
The Damanis continue worrying about the idol. They fear that if the Poddars refuse to hand it over, the trust may cancel the entire Janmashtami celebration. Nandani also remarks that Bhairvi does not know the complete situation. Just then, Raghav receives a call from the trust.
Soon, Armaan and Abhira arrive with the idol. Armaan refuses to enter the Damani house. Abhira takes the idol inside and hands it over to them.
Nandani asks Abhira to have something to eat before leaving, saying that nobody should leave their home without eating. Kabir then asks Abhira to taste the pickle they are launching for Janmashtami. Abhira tastes it and praises the pickle.
Armaan initially refuses to eat anything, but Kabir insists. Eventually, Armaan and Abhira have the prasad before leaving.
Meanwhile, Myra tells Mukti that she has been selected for a badminton academy in Dubai. The Poddars become extremely happy for her. Armaan and Abhira are surprised to learn about Mukti’s selection.
However, Mukti reveals that she does not want to go because she cannot bear the thought of staying away from her family. Armaan becomes concerned when he learns that Mukti would have to stay in Dubai for 20 days.
Manisha and Manoj reassure everyone that Aryan and Disha are already in Dubai and will take care of Mukti. Armaan tells Mukti not to put herself under pressure and assures her that she can return if she ever feels uncomfortable or unsafe.
Madhav also asks Armaan not to worry excessively and reminds him that Aryan and Disha will be there to look after Mukti.
Mukti becomes emotional and promises that one day she will make the entire Poddar family proud.

Myra asks Abhira to tell her everything about Lord Krishna, including his favourite food, songs and stories. Abhira becomes suspicious and asks why she suddenly wants to know all this. Myra casually says that she is simply interested.
Abhira realizes that someone may have said something to Myra and wonders who is influencing her so much. Meanwhile, Myra decides that she will prove to Kabir that she knows everything about Lord Krishna.

Today’s episode brings an interesting emotional conflict between Abhira and Armaan. Their argument over Krishna’s idol is not simply about giving away an object; it highlights the difference between personal emotions and the faith of an entire community. Abhira’s point that faith matters more than the idol itself eventually makes Armaan rethink his position.
The moment when Armaan stops Myra from hurting other children is also nicely connected to the central argument. He realizes that the same principle applies to the idol situation—one person’s feelings should not become a reason to hurt many others.
Mukti’s Dubai badminton academy selection adds a sweet family track to the episode. While everyone is proud of her achievement, her reluctance to leave the family gives the moment an emotional touch. Armaan once again shows his protective side by telling her that she should never feel pressured.
The most intriguing part of the episode is the Myra-Kabir track. Myra’s sudden interest in learning everything about Lord Krishna clearly suggests that Kabir’s words have affected her. Abhira’s suspicion that someone is influencing Myra could lead to an interesting confrontation during the Janmashtami celebrations.
