Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 28th August 2026 Written Update: Myra Turns Spiritual, Kabir Learns a Shocking Truth About His Parents

Today’s episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai begins with Myra giving some things to Kabir and explaining that a few items related to Lord Krishna were left behind at home. She asks him to take them, but when Kabir asks her to come inside and give them to him, Myra immediately refuses.

Kabir points out that Myra is behaving just like Armaan, who also refused to step inside his house. Myra does not want to discuss it further and tells Kabir to simply take the things, or she will leave. Kabir takes them from her.

Myra then becomes serious and asks Kabir to take proper care of Lord Krishna’s idol. She reminds him that Kaveri has kept the idol with love and devotion for years. The family has always pampered Lord Krishna and followed a particular routine for him, and Myra asks Kabir to continue doing the same.

Kabir asks her what offering they usually give to Lord Krishna. Myra is surprised by his question and asks why he wants to know. Kabir explains that Lord Krishna has been accustomed to the same offering for years, so his routine should not suddenly be changed. He asks Myra for the recipe.

Myra tells him that Abhira knows the recipe. Kabir immediately teases her, saying that she was talking so confidently about Lord Krishna, yet she does not even know what offering he likes.

Myra does not let him win the argument. She points out that she is sure Kabir also does not know his parents’ favourite colour or their favourite dishes. Kabir is left stunned by her remark.

Meanwhile, Krish tells Aryan that he will forward Mukti’s flight details to him. Sanjay and Kajal encourage Krish to move forward in life and even pressure him to consider getting married. Krish, however, says that he is perfectly fine being alone.

Elsewhere, Kaveri looks at pictures of Aryan, Rohit, Disha and Tanya. She becomes emotional as she realises that the children are leaving one by one. She feels that soon the house itself may become empty. Kaveri also remembers that Mukti is leaving.

The Poddars come together and hug each other.

Abhira then suggests that they participate in Rasbora’s Rasleela competition. Armaan is offended by the idea, considering the family’s ongoing issues with the Damanis. However, Abhira explains that she wants to participate for Kaveri’s sake so that Kaveri can pray to Lord Krishna.

Armaan understands her emotions. Despite his animosity toward the Damanis, he decides that he will put those differences aside for Kaveri’s faith.

Meanwhile, Kabir tells Nandani, Samar and Raghu that Myra’s parents are also participating in the Rasleela competition. Raghu immediately assumes that the Poddars are planning to defame them.

Kabir, however, asks Raghu and Nandani to participate in the competition as well. Raghav refuses to perform, but Kabir continues insisting that Nandani and Raghu take part.

Soon, Kabir comes across an old picture of Nandani and Raghav from their sangeet. The picture makes him realise that Myra was right—he really does not know enough about his own parents.

Nandani notices that Kabir seems different today. She wonders what has brought about this sudden change in him and starts thinking about who might be influencing him.

Later, Myra approaches Abhira and asks her to tell her more about Lord Krishna. She also wants Abhira to teach her about the offering made to him.

Around the same time, Armaan asks Abhira where Myra has gone. Abhira asks him to guess. Armaan is confused and says that he cannot possibly know.

Abhira then tells him that Armaan had apparently asked Myra to learn the offering for Lord Krishna. Armaan is surprised and immediately denies telling Myra anything.

This leaves Abhira wondering who encouraged Myra to become so interested in spirituality and why her behaviour has suddenly changed.

Mukti also starts suspecting that Myra may be following some spiritual influencer.

Abhira and Myra later prepare the offering together in the kitchen. While cooking, Abhira closely observes Myra and notices that her behaviour has changed considerably.

She later shares her concern with Armaan. Armaan feels that Myra is simply growing up and that their daughters are bound to change as they get older. However, he is also worried about Mukti leaving for Dubai.

Armaan and Abhira spend some time talking to Mukti before she leaves. Mukti eventually reaches Dubai and jokingly tells Myra to enjoy herself because she will no longer be there to interrupt her.

Back home, Myra, Armaan and Abhira miss Mukti. Mukti reassures them that she will be back after 20 days.

The family then prepares for the Rasleela competition. Myra asks Armaan and Abhira to practice their dance. She also asks Abhira to teach her the “O Khanah” song.

Abhira is once again left wondering how Myra suddenly became so spiritual. Armaan, however, sees nothing wrong with it and feels that Myra is doing something good.

The episode ends with Myra continuing her preparations while Abhira remains curious about the reason behind this sudden transformation.

Review

Myra’s sudden spiritual makeover is definitely the biggest talking point of the episode. While Armaan is happily accepting it as a sign that his daughter is growing up, Abhira is already doing what Abhira does best—connecting the dots before everyone else even notices there are dots to connect!

Kabir’s realisation about how little he knows about his parents also adds an interesting emotional layer. The Rasleela track could bring the families closer for Kaveri’s sake, but with old rivalries still simmering, peace probably won’t come that easily.
