Sairaab 29th August 2026 Written Update: Nayanika’s Pregnancy Exposed, She Leaves the Basu House Forever
Today’s episode of Sairaab takes an emotional turn as Nayanika’s pregnancy is exposed in front of the Basu family. Ujjaini is devastated by the revelation, while the family turns against Nayanika. Unable to face Ujjaini’s pain, Nayanika decides to leave the house, making a major decision about her future with Ishaan.
The episode begins with Neil revealing that Nayanika is pregnant. Ujjaini is completely shocked and screams in disbelief. Neil is surprised to see her there and says that he thought she was in her room. Ujjaini asks him to repeat what he said, still unable to process the revelation. Neil assures her that he will handle the situation.
Shreya immediately regrets bringing the medical report from Nayanika’s room. She realizes that her discovery has exposed something Nayanika was clearly trying to keep private. Indrani, however, takes a much harsher stand and declares that Nayanika can no longer stay in the house.
Meanwhile, Nayanika is on her way back and asks the driver to drive faster. She anxiously wonders what will happen if Ujjaini gets hold of the medical report. Nayanika knows that the truth has come out, but she is not emotionally prepared to discuss her pregnancy with everyone.
Back at the Basu house, Adinath says that Nayanika should not have taken such a step. Kaka also agrees with Indrani’s decision. Ujjaini breaks down, while Angana questions how Nayanika could do this to her.
Nayanika eventually arrives home and immediately notices the tense atmosphere. Neil sarcastically congratulates her. Nayanika asks why Ujjaini is crying, but Shreya responds with a taunt, saying that Ujjaini is unable to digest Nayanika’s good news.
Indrani becomes furious and declares that nobody will eat in the house if Nayanika continues staying there. Ujjaini also asks the family to send Nayanika away. Neil then shows Nayanika the medical report, making it clear that her secret is no longer a secret.
The next day, the Basu family prepares for Raksha Bandhan, but the festive atmosphere is overshadowed by the controversy surrounding Nayanika. Rusha asks Angana whether Neil will attend the celebration. Angana says that Neil is disturbed because of Nayanika’s actions.
Rusha then points out that Neil cheated on Nayanika and reminds everyone that Nayanika is no longer a married woman. Indrani immediately stops her from speaking further. Shreya says that people can make mistakes when they are young.
Jaya also admits that she cannot believe Nayanika could take such a decision. Rusha says that she cannot judge Nayanika, but feels that Nayanika should have spoken to Ujjaini before taking such a major step.
Indrani remains unforgiving. She calls Nayanika shameless for continuing to stay in the house despite everything that has happened.
Meanwhile, Nayanika quietly writes a letter for Ujjaini. Her words reveal just how conflicted she is. She admits that if she were in Ujjaini’s place, she might have felt the same way. She apologizes for all the pain and trouble Ujjaini has experienced because of her.
Nayanika then reveals in the letter that she is pregnant and makes it clear that nobody forced her into this decision. She questions whether being a divorced woman means she has no right to marry again and build a new life.
She understands that Ujjaini cannot accept her relationship with Ishaan, but Nayanika also feels that her personal decision should not be treated as a crime. Still, she cannot bear to see Ujjaini suffering because of her. Therefore, she decides to leave the Basu house.
Nayanika assures Ujjaini that she will continue sending money for her education. She also says that she has no reason to worry about Ujjaini because Shisho is now part of her life and will be there for her.
Soon, the neighbours arrive at the Basu house and ask about Nayanika. Nayanika comes downstairs carrying her luggage. Before leaving, she takes blessings from Indrani and Adinath.
The neighbours ask Nayanika to tie Rakhi first because of the festival. Indrani refuses and tells them there is no need for such a ritual. Shreya tries to explain that Nayanika is in a hurry.
The neighbours, however, continue defending Nayanika. They insist that she is still the daughter-in-law of the house in their eyes. Indrani angrily declares that her family has cut all ties with Nayanika.
Ujjaini then comes downstairs and asks Shreya for breakfast. The neighbours again ask her to tie Rakhi. Ujjaini says that she would have done so if Nayanika were not there.
Jaya asks Nayanika when she plans to return. Nayanika gives everyone a heartbreaking answer.
She says she will never return.
With that, Nayanika walks away from the Basu house, carrying the pain of her broken relationships and her decision to begin a new chapter.

Review
This episode finally pushes Nayanika and Ishaan’s story into the open, and Nayanika’s decision to leave the Basu house gives the track a strong emotional punch. Her letter to Ujjaini is particularly important because she isn’t pretending that Ujjaini’s pain doesn’t matter; she understands it, but also refuses to believe that her own life must end because others disapprove of her choices.
The Raksha Bandhan backdrop makes Nayanika’s departure even more emotional. Everyone is talking about family bonds while one of the family members is literally walking out with her luggage. Subtle? Absolutely not. Effective? Very much so.
