Bigg Boss 20 10th September 2026 Written Update: Yung Becomes First Captain as Kanika Challenges His Authority
The latest episode of Bigg Boss 20 begins on Day 5, and the house quickly turns chaotic as arguments, alliances and strategic games take centre stage. While Yung becomes the season’s first captain, Qazi continues to create unpredictable drama and Scout starts building his own group.
Yung and Amrapali Clash
The episode begins with tension between Yung and Amrapali.
Yung accuses Amrapali of pushing and tells Asif that she was blocking him during the task. He then asks Amrapali to go and sleep.
Scout tries to calm the situation and tells Amrapali not to take Yung too seriously. He explains that Yung is not a bad person but simply does not have control over his tongue.
Amrapali refuses to accept this justification.
She tells Scout that if someone cannot respect others, being good at heart does not make their behaviour acceptable.
Yung and Amrapali continue arguing until Amrapali finally decides that she will not speak to him anymore.
Meanwhile, Qazi does push-ups in an attempt to calm himself down, but he remains angry with Asif.
Scout later tells Aman that people who simply play the game can eventually be eliminated, but those who win people’s hearts can survive much longer in the show.
Kanika and Gullu Discuss Yung
Kanika tells Gullu about Yung’s reaction during the task.
She explains that when she tried to push the bucket, Rohed, Scout and Qazi were blocking her, yet Yung considered her actions unfair.
Kanika believes Yung had another problem with her because he wanted her to become friends with him, while she was focused on completing the task.
The conversation turns into a verbal argument between Kanika and Gullu.
Kanika then confronts Arishfa and questions why she was trying to act like a referee during the argument.
Arishfa defends herself, but Kanika tells her not to play Bigg Boss with her. She asks Arishfa to speak to her only when she can have a normal conversation.
Arishfa gets angry, and the two continue arguing.
Yung Becomes the First Captain
The popcorn task resumes, with the inmates once again competing for the captaincy.
After the task, Mahhi announces Yung as the winner.
Yung becomes the first captain of Bigg Boss 20.
His victory immediately gives him authority inside the house, but judging by the growing tensions around him, his captaincy is unlikely to be peaceful.
Asif and Qazi Make Peace
Asif and Qazi later discuss their previous fight.
Qazi explains that he did not intentionally hurt Asif, while Asif also says that he did not deliberately push Qazi.
The two finally apologise to each other and patch things up.
However, Qazi’s feelings about the confrontation are far from settled.
Scout Builds His Group
Scout begins forming his own alliance with Rhiti, Rohed, Asif, Qazi and Yung.
He tells them that they need to listen to him when he gives an opinion because their group has to remain strong.
Scout also believes Love and Aman will support them.
Rohed agrees that their group needs to remain united and closed.
But Qazi privately questions Asif’s sincerity.
While looking at Asif’s picture, Qazi says that he believes Asif’s apology was merely an act. He feels that viewers can see through Asif’s behaviour and worries that he might look bad outside the house.
Qazi also says that Asif abused his mother and insists that he will not forgive him easily.
Qazi Turns Drama into a Strategy
Qazi then decides to create another situation.
He says that he will cry in front of the camera and demands that Bigg Boss give him his medicine. When his request is not immediately addressed, Qazi becomes angry.
Bigg Boss eventually calls him to the storeroom.
Qazi admits to the doctor that he was acting as part of the game. He explains that he deliberately created the situation for entertainment and that he had already said so on camera.
The other inmates discuss Qazi and speculate about his behaviour, with some even wondering whether he is experiencing withdrawal symptoms.
Qazi maintains that he was only acting for entertainment and did not intend to harm anyone.
He later tells the camera that every day he plans to do something new and create new stories for his audience. He confidently predicts that the other inmates will be left stunned by his moves.
Gullu Understands Qazi’s Strategy
The housemates continue discussing Qazi.
Gullu points out that Qazi’s strategy is already working because everyone is talking about him.
Mahhi agrees with Gullu.
Qazi may be creating chaos deliberately, but the attention itself is becoming part of his game.
Kanika Keeps Her Distance from Gullu
Kanika tells Gullu that she does not easily make friends because she has doubts about everyone.
Gullu asks whether she trusts him.
Kanika gives him a brutally honest answer — only 50 percent.
Gullu jokes that at least he has managed to reach 50 percent and adds that he has more of a crush on her.
Kanika says it could take several years before she completely trusts him.
Gullu responds that he does not have that much time.
Meanwhile, Yung calls Kanika a witch while speaking to Scout. Scout believes Kanika is simply playing the game safely.
Mary Kom Opens Up About Her Struggles
Mary Kom speaks about popularity and recognition.
She says she has worked extremely hard as an athlete, but people sometimes take credit for her success by claiming that she became famous because of them.
She recalls the struggles she has faced throughout her sporting journey and expresses frustration at people who try to claim credit for someone else’s hard work.
Rhiti Sings for Qazi
Rhiti tells Qazi that she has written a song about mental status.
Qazi asks her to sing it for him.
Rhiti then performs a rap for Qazi, creating a lighter moment amid all the arguments and strategy discussions.
Bigg Boss Calls Out the Housemates
Bigg Boss questions Scout about whether he has been getting enough sleep.
He also reprimands Yung for sleeping by himself.
Gullu jokes that while he does not sleep much, he eats a lot.
Bigg Boss questions him about his sleeping habits as well.
Yung then declares that he will not allow anyone to sleep anymore.
Bigg Boss reminds the inmates about the incredible popularity and legacy of the show, which has entertained viewers for nearly two decades.
He asks everyone to gather in the activity area and announces that, as promised, he is going to show them a movie.
Housemates Relive Bigg Boss History
The inmates watch footage showcasing iconic moments from the various seasons of Bigg Boss.
The big screen takes them through memorable moments from the show’s journey, beginning with Season 1.
The housemates enjoy watching the history of the franchise and get a chance to relive some of its most famous moments.
Bigg Boss Opens the Legacy Room
Bigg Boss then introduces Room 20, calling it the Legacy Room.
He gives Yung a special responsibility.
Since Yung is now the captain and had previously expressed a desire to target Kanika, Bigg Boss asks him to take away one of Kanika’s lives.
Yung chooses to do so.
Kanika loses one of her lives.
The decision immediately increases the tension between the new captain and Kanika.
Yung Assigns the House Duties
Yung then starts distributing responsibilities in the house.
He gives cooking duties to Mahhi, Mary and Kanika, while Qazi receives the cleaning duty.
Kanika heads toward the kitchen, but Yung makes it clear that the duty discussion is not finished yet.
The episode ends with the house dynamics becoming increasingly tense under Yung’s new captaincy.
Precap
The next episode promises another major clash between Yung and Kanika.
Yung accuses Kanika of ignoring him.
Kanika fires back that Yung is only the captain and not the king.
Yung confidently declares that he is the king.
The two get into a heated verbal argument, suggesting that Yung’s first captaincy is already heading toward a direct confrontation with Kanika.
Episode Review
This episode firmly establishes the early power dynamics of Bigg Boss 20.
Yung’s captaincy gives him authority, but it also immediately puts a target on his back. His clashes with Amrapali and Kanika show that his blunt personality could become a major source of conflict inside the house.
Qazi, meanwhile, is proving that he understands the importance of creating conversations. His admission that some of his drama was deliberate makes his game even more unpredictable.
Scout’s alliance-building is another important development. He is already thinking beyond individual fights and trying to create a strong voting bloc.
But the biggest story going forward is clearly Yung versus Kanika.
Yung may have won the captaincy, but Kanika is refusing to treat him like the unquestionable authority of the house. With her calling him “captain, not king,” tomorrow’s confrontation looks ready to turn into the season’s next major rivalry.
Overall Rating: 4.5/5
