Vikrant’s declaration that he loves Mannat and their daughter gives the wedding sequence its emotional punch. His decision to drink poison is obviously extreme, but it effectively exposes how trapped he feels in the situation.

The more interesting part comes afterward.

Mannat does not simply cry and wait for someone else to solve the problem. She quickly understands that Manyata is emotionally vulnerable and uses Samragi’s own actions against her. By making Manyata question her sister, Mannat manages to create the exact rift Samragi had been trying to create between her and Vikrant.

And finally, Samragi confesses.
