Shayad Yahi Hai Pyaar 6th October 2026 Written Update: Aarav Exposes Gaurav as Preeti Takes a Stand for Him
Today’s episode of Shayad Yahi Hai Pyaar begins with Aarav confronting Gaurav after his betrayal comes to light. Aarav asks Gaurav whether he has no shame in showing his face after cheating on Preeti for five years.
Preeti and Sandy try to stop Aarav from taking the confrontation further, but Aarav is in no mood to let Gaurav escape easily. He calls Gaurav a “chopda” and mocks him.
Gaurav tries to argue back, but Preeti intervenes and stops him.
Gaurav then turns his anger towards Preeti and questions why she is behaving as though Aarav is her boyfriend.
Preeti immediately shuts down the misunderstanding. She tells Gaurav that Aarav is just a kid and asks Aarav to leave with Kaira.
Gaurav Breaks Preeti’s Heart
Gaurav tells Preeti that as people grow older, their complexities also increase, and their relationship has now reached its end.
Preeti is devastated. She reminds him that she loved him.
Gaurav gives her an even more painful answer. He says that he never felt the same way about her.
According to Gaurav, the only person he truly loves is Shanaya.

Aarav Tells Preeti Why He Did It

Preeti Refuses to Hear Gaurav’s Name

At home, Shanti notices that Preeti has returned to her room in tears. She asks Vaibhav what happened, but he says that he does not know.
Shanti knocks on Preeti’s door and asks whether she is crying because Gaurav said their horoscopes did not match.
Preeti comes out and finally tells her the truth.
She says Gaurav cheated on her with another girl.
Preeti makes it clear that she does not want to hear Gaurav’s name anymore.
Shanti says she will speak to Gaurav, but Preeti refuses. She asks Shanti to leave her alone.
Vaibhav points out that they should actually be thankful because Aarav’s plan helped Preeti discover Gaurav’s real nature.
Shanti disagrees and says Aarav cannot stand seeing anyone settle down.
Her husband immediately stops her from saying such things. He reminds her that Aarav helped their daughter.
Aarav Gets Arrested
Sandy asks Aarav not to tell Kapil about everything that happened.
The family soon discovers that Delhi Police have arrived.
Manju and Anju inform them that the police have come looking for Aarav.
Sandy is shocked and asks why they have come, explaining that they had only gone out for dinner.
The inspector reveals the reason.
Aarav has been accused of hitting a government officer.
The police arrest him.
Kapil immediately says that he will go to the police station and get Aarav released.
Sandy asks Kapil to save her brother.
Kapil assures her that Aarav is his brother-in-law and that he will help him. He also complains that Aarav has not changed even after ten years.
Kapil leaves for the police station with Monty.
The situation becomes even more emotional when Shanti insults Aarav by calling him an orphan.
Preeti comes out and firmly defends Aarav.
She tells everyone that everything between her and Gaurav is over and that Aarav is not responsible for what happened.
Shanti refuses to accept the situation. She says she knows Gaurav’s nature but still intends to get Preeti married to him.
She leaves for the Navratri event and asks her husband to stay with Preeti.
Vaibhav then learns that Aarav has been arrested and informs Preeti.
Preeti immediately decides to go to the police station.
Aarav Is Released
At the police station, Kapil arrives with a lawyer.
The lawyer studies the footage and points out that the incident was actually a fight between Gaurav and Aarav.
He tells the inspector that if Aarav is being arrested for the incident, Gaurav should also be arrested.
Faced with the evidence, the inspector releases Aarav.
Preeti is relieved to see him free.
The inspector warns Aarav not to get involved in such situations again.
Aarav leaves the station, but the confrontation has clearly left a mark on everyone.
Outside, Kapil advises Aarav not to get involved in such matters and vents his frustration at him.
Preeti once again takes a stand for Aarav.
She does not allow Kapil to blame him for what happened when Aarav was simply trying to protect her and expose Gaurav.
Kapil eventually leaves.
Preeti Thanks Aarav Again
Elsewhere, Vaibhav faces another small problem when his bike refuses to start.
Monty helps by pushing the bike, and they eventually take it to a mechanic.
The episode returns to Preeti and Aarav as she once again thanks him for saving her from Gaurav.
For Preeti, Aarav’s actions have changed everything. She may have spent five years believing in Gaurav, but Aarav helped her finally see the truth.
The episode ends with Preeti grateful to Aarav for standing by her when she needed someone the most.
Review
This episode gives Preeti a much-needed emotional turning point. After spending so long believing in Gaurav, she finally accepts that the man she loved never truly loved her back.
Aarav is easily the highlight of the episode. His anger gets him into trouble, especially when he slaps Gaurav and ends up in police custody, but his intention is clear: he wants Preeti to stop blaming herself and see Gaurav for who he really is.
The sweetest moment comes when Preeti smiles after thanking Aarav and he calls it her “Preeto wali smile.” That small exchange brings some warmth to an otherwise heavy episode.
The police track adds unnecessary chaos, but thankfully the footage clears Aarav quickly. More importantly, Preeti finally stands up for him herself.
Now that Gaurav is out of Preeti’s life, the bigger question is what this growing bond between Preeti and Aarav will eventually become.
