Yaadein 5th October 2026 Written Update: Dev and Shristi Grow Closer as Jia Accepts Their Relationship Is Over

Today’s episode of Yaadein begins with the villagers approaching Dev with the things they have brought for him.

Dev is confused and asks them what all of it is.

The villagers admit that they have brought these things as bribes. They request Dev to arrange electricity connections for their homes.

Dev is taken aback by their approach, but Shristi comes up with an unusual way to make them understand the seriousness of what they are asking.

Shristi Makes the Villagers Face the Truth

Shristi gives the villagers a choice.

She tells them that if they are genuinely convinced that stealing electricity from the Kallari Health Centre is not wrong and that giving a bribe is also acceptable, they should say exactly that while speaking to Mishri’s unborn baby.

The villagers are surprised by her condition.

Dev also agrees with Shristi’s idea.

Johala Chap is the first to step forward. He looks at Mishri’s baby bump and tries to say that stealing electricity from the Kallari Health Centre is not wrong.

But he cannot bring himself to lie.

Johala Chap admits that he cannot say something untrue while looking at the baby.

His hesitation makes the villagers think about their actions.

Vandana also tries to speak to the baby, but she becomes emotional. Seeing Mishri’s pregnancy reminds her of Mallar being in her womb, and she is unable to continue.

The moment makes the villagers realize that they cannot simply justify everything in the name of their needs.

They finally agree to take a legal electricity connection.

The villagers do have one request for Dev.

They ask him not to pressure them about the water connection immediately. They explain that they need some time before they can arrange it.

Dev and Shristi agree to give them the required time.

The villagers then ask Johala Chap to contact the electricity department and begin the process of getting proper electricity connections.

Masaan Baba Faces a New Problem

Johala Chap later approaches Masaan Baba and gives him the form required to obtain a legal electricity connection.

He explains that all the villagers are now getting electricity legally and warns Masaan Baba that he too will have to fill out the form if he wants electricity.

Masaan Baba is visibly upset.

He does not want to accept the situation so easily.

Masaan Baba immediately calls the minister and asks him to do something about the situation. He explains what has happened and makes it clear that Dev’s actions are creating a problem for him.

After the call, Masaan Baba tells Johala Chap that Dev will now have to face political pressure.

He hints that the situation will become difficult for Dev and suggests that political influence may eventually force him to leave the village.

The electricity issue may have been resolved for the villagers, but Masaan Baba is clearly preparing his next move.

Jia Calls Dev and Shristi a Great Team

Later, Jia notices Dev and Shristi working together.

She tells them that they make a great team.

Dev thanks Shristi for helping him handle the villagers and the electricity issue.

Jia then tells Dev that if he really wants to thank Shristi, he should do something special for her.

Dev thinks about it for a moment before coming up with an idea.

He decides that he will cook for Shristi.

Shristi immediately questions whether Dev actually knows how to cook.

Dev asks her to guide him.

Shristi agrees.

The two begin cooking together, creating a lighter and more comfortable moment between them.

Meanwhile, the villagers continue the process of getting their electricity connection by speaking to the electricity department staff.

Dev Cooks for Shristi

With Shristi guiding him, Dev manages to prepare the food.

Shristi tastes it and praises Dev for his effort.

The moment is simple, but it brings a sense of warmth between them.

Dev and Shristi then notice Jia and ask her what she is doing.

Jia reveals that she is recording the moment.

She tells them that if Dev and Shristi are still together next month, they can watch the recording together.

But if they are no longer together, she says that she will watch it alone.

Her words reveal that Jia is still emotionally attached to Dev and is struggling to accept that their relationship has ended.

She quietly leaves.

Dev immediately tries to follow her.

Shristi Stops Dev From Giving Jia False Hope

Shristi stops Dev and tells him that they should not give Jia any false hope.

She understands that Jia is still holding on to the possibility that things might somehow return to the way they were.

Shristi tells Dev that Jia needs to accept that their relationship is over.

Dev is left thinking about her words.

Shristi’s concern is not only about herself or her relationship with Dev. She also understands that allowing Jia to keep hoping will only make the situation more painful for her.

The episode ends with Jia walking away while Dev and Shristi remain behind, both aware that the emotional consequences of their changed relationship are far from settled.

Precap

In the upcoming episode, the minister arrives at the Kallari Health Centre.

He orders Dev to leave and go back to wherever he came from.

Dev refuses to back down.

The political pressure Masaan Baba promised has finally arrived at Dev’s doorstep.

Review

This episode keeps the electricity track meaningful without letting it overshadow the characters. Shristi’s idea of making the villagers speak honestly while looking at Mishri’s unborn baby is clever because it forces them to confront their own conscience rather than simply listen to another lecture.

The softer Dev-Shristi moments also work nicely. Dev cooking with Shristi’s guidance is simple, but their comfort around each other is becoming increasingly visible.

The emotional highlight, though, belongs to Jia. Her decision to record the moment and say she may have to watch it alone next month quietly reveals how much she is struggling to let go. Shristi’s decision to stop Dev from chasing after her is sensible, even if it is painful.

And just when the village seems to have found a solution to the electricity problem, Masaan Baba brings politics into the picture. The minister’s arrival in the precap promises a much bigger confrontation.
