Yaadein 6th October 2026 Written Update: Dev Takes a Risk to Save Kallari Health Centre as Jia Sees His Changed Heart
The episode begins with Jia thinking about her parents and wondering whether Dev and Shristi will ever come together again. She becomes emotional over the complicated situation between them. Dhruv notices Jia crying and immediately tries to cheer her up. He asks her not to cry, saying that if she cries, he will also start crying.
Dhruv dramatically attempts to cry but cannot manage it. Jia looks at him suspiciously and asks if he is actually making fun of her. Dhruv denies it and continues with his playful attempt to lighten her mood.
Soon, Dev brings food for the children. He feeds Dhruv while Shristi feeds Jia. The four share a warm moment over the meal, giving the otherwise tense episode a brief family-like feeling.
MLA Srikanth Orders Dev to Shut Down Kallari Health Centre
At Kallari Health Centre, Dhruv notices that there are hardly any patients around and asks Dev where everyone has gone. The situation soon becomes clearer when Mallar arrives with an important warning.
Mallar informs Dev that MLA Srikanth is on his way to the health centre. Dev immediately asks why the MLA is coming. Mallar reveals that Srikanth is very close to Masaan Baba, making Dev suspicious about the reason behind his sudden visit.
MLA Srikanth soon arrives at Kallari Health Centre and wastes no time. He orders Dev to shut the centre down.
Dev remains firm. He reminds Srikanth that he came there under official orders and will leave only when he receives official orders asking him to do so.
Srikanth mocks Dev and declares that he will make sure Kallari Health Centre is closed. Dev calmly asks him to provide the order in writing.
The MLA turns to his PA and asks him to write the letter. The PA reminds him of something, prompting Srikanth to mock him for having failed in first grade. He still orders the PA to prepare the letter.
The PA, clearly unsure about how the letter should be written, leaves Srikanth irritated. The MLA eventually warns Dev to leave the health centre, otherwise he will not be responsible for what happens next.
Dev refuses to be intimidated and asks what Srikanth intends to do.
The MLA’s PA then makes the threat explicit, saying that they will hurt Dev’s family.
Dev loses his temper and slaps him.
The situation takes an unexpected turn when Dev and Srikanth realise that the PA has developed a hearing problem. Dev immediately checks on him, despite everything that has just happened.
Dev Uses a Clever Bluff Against the MLA
Outside Kallari Health Centre, the villagers gather as they wait for MLA Srikanth.
Dev then plays his biggest card.
He tells Srikanth that while cleaning the health centre, they discovered some documents. Dev claims that if those documents become public, the MLA could end up in jail.
Dev offers Srikanth a deal. If the MLA allows Kallari Health Centre to continue functioning, Dev promises that he will not leak the documents.
The threat clearly works.
Later, Srikanth calls the villagers together and unexpectedly praises Dev. He declares that Dev is a great doctor and leaves the health centre.
The villagers follow him, leaving Dev and Shristi behind.
Jia is impressed by Dev’s quick thinking. She cannot believe that Dev only saw the documents once and immediately understood that they contained something serious enough to frighten the MLA.
Shristi, though, knows exactly what happened.
She explains to Jia that there is actually no incriminating evidence against Srikanth. Dev simply bluffed in order to scare the MLA into backing down.
Shristi tells Dev that he took a huge gamble.
Dev reminds her that Srikanth had mocked him by calling him a first-grade failure. That insult pushed Dev to take the risk and prove that he was not someone who could simply be bullied.
Jia is once again impressed by her father.
Jia Sees How Well Dev and Shristi Understand Each Other
Later, Jia becomes anxious about her studies and worries about what exactly she should focus on for her NEET preparation. Dev notices her concern and encourages her.
He then starts looking for a particular medicine.
Shristi immediately tells him that the medicine is outside.
Jia notices the exchange carefully.
She asks Shristi how she knows Dev so well. After all, Shristi understood his bluff almost instantly and even knew exactly which medicine he was looking for without Dev having to explain anything.
Shristi simply tells Jia that she knows Dev better than anyone else.
Jia takes the conversation a step further.
She tells Shristi that she still cannot understand why Shristi does not see the change in Dev. According to Jia, Dev has changed and genuinely wants to live with Shristi.
Her words leave the emotional question hanging between Dev and Shristi.
Jia can clearly see the bond that still exists between her parents, even though they themselves continue to struggle with it.
The episode ends on this emotional note.

The medical board staff gives Dev a difficult task. He has to treat 50 patients within one month. If he fails to complete the target, his medical licence will be revoked.
Review
This episode works because Dev finally gets a chance to show that his strength is not just emotional — he can think on his feet too. The bluff against MLA Srikanth is risky, but it is also cleverly executed, especially because Dev manages to turn the MLA’s own arrogance against him.
The more interesting part, though, is Jia. She is slowly becoming the person who sees Dev and Shristi’s relationship more clearly than they do themselves. Her observation about how naturally Shristi understands Dev is exactly the kind of emotional truth that neither of them seems ready to confront.
The 50-patient challenge in the precap raises the stakes nicely. Dev has to prove himself professionally now, and with his medical licence on the line, the next track could get seriously tense.
