Yaadein 7th October 2026 Written Update: Dev Faces a 15-Day Deadline as Masaan Baba Plans to Shut His Health Centre
The episode of Yaadein begins with Jia questioning Shristi about her knowledge of Dev. Jia wants to understand how Shristi knows so much about him and why she seems to understand his behaviour better than anyone else.
Shristi explains that she shares a deep bond with Dev. She says that she knows him so well that she feels she understands him even better than he understands himself.
Jia then asks Shristi why she cannot see the obvious change in Dev. According to Jia, Dev has changed and genuinely wants to be with Shristi.
Shristi disagrees.
She reminds Jia that Dev has not exactly changed by choice. He has lost eight years of his memory and, in many ways, has become the Dev he used to be years ago.
Shristi admits that this version of Dev scares her. She says that the traumatic incident changed him so drastically that she no longer recognises the man she once knew. Her words make it clear that Dev’s missing memories have created a completely different emotional equation between them.
Masaan Baba Wants to Know Dev’s Past
Elsewhere, Johala Chap complains to Masaan Baba that the MLA has now started supporting Dev.
Masaan Baba questions him about how this happened.
Johala Chap admits that he does not know why the MLA has taken Dev’s side.
Masaan Baba, though, is not ready to let the matter go. He becomes suspicious about Dev and asks Johala Chap to investigate his past.
He points out that Dev is a well-known doctor, so there must be a reason why he has come to a small village like Kallari.
Masaan Baba believes that there could be something hidden in Dev’s past that may eventually threaten his present.
Johala Chap agrees with him and leaves to dig deeper into Dev’s history.
The search for Dev’s past is now becoming another threat hanging over him.
Malon Ji Cuts Off the Electricity
The mood shifts to some lighter family drama when electricity finally comes to Malon Ji’s house.
Vandana is delighted and prepares kheer for everyone. She serves it to the family while hoping that the electricity bill will not become too expensive.
Malon Ji, though, is already thinking about the bill.
After making his usual comments about the situation, he switches off the electricity himself in an attempt to save money.
He then asks Vandana and Mallar to eat their food in the darkness.
His decision leaves the situation rather amusing, as the family has electricity but is still sitting without it simply because Malon Ji does not want a high bill.
Later, Mallar takes some kheer with him.
Mallar’s Kheer Excuse Raises Suspicion
Jia is seen talking to someone on the phone when Shristi approaches her.
Jia notices that Shristi looks frightened and questions her about it.
At the same time, Mallar brings some kheer and offers it to Jia. He starts flirting with her, clearly enjoying the opportunity to spend time with her.
Dev arrives and notices what is happening.
He immediately comments on Mallar’s behaviour and asks him to take the kheer back. Dev explains that everyone is trying to reduce their sugar intake.
Mallar has no choice but to leave.
After everyone finishes eating, Malon Ji switches the electricity back on and notices that Mallar is missing.
Vandana starts worrying about him.
Mallar eventually returns home with the kheer still in his hand.
Vandana asks him what he is doing with the kheer.
Mallar comes up with an excuse, saying that there is a saying that it is good to eat something sweet while walking around the house, so he is simply following that tradition.
Vandana believes him and even praises him.
Malon Ji, though, is not fooled.
He later tells Mallar that he knows exactly where he has been going with that kheer. He says he has built a good reputation in the village and Mallar’s actions have damaged it.
Malon Ji warns Mallar that he will not spare him.
He then walks away, leaving Mallar worried.
Dev and Shristi Remember Their Past
The next morning, Dev and Shristi arrive at the Kallari Health Centre.
They are surprised to find that there are no patients.
With the centre completely empty, they decide to go out for tea.
While drinking tea, Dev and Shristi begin discussing their past.
Dev tells Shristi that he is now far away from his past.
The tea vendor overhears them and offers a philosophical observation. He says that the past never truly goes away. It continues to haunt people like a ghost.
The comment hits differently given everything happening around Dev.
He may have lost eight years of memories, but the people around him are increasingly forcing him to confront the life he left behind.
Medical Board Arrives at Kallari
Soon, the situation at the health centre takes a serious turn.
Medical board staff arrive at Kallari and ask Mallar to inform Dev that someone from Mumbai has come to meet him.
Mallar agrees and goes looking for Dev.
He informs Dev about the visitors.
Dev and Shristi immediately return to the Kallari Health Centre.
Later, Mallar also informs Jia that someone has come from Mumbai to meet her father.
Jia becomes curious and decides to find out what is happening.
At the health centre, Johala Chap and several villagers secretly listen to the conversation taking place between Dev and the medical board staff.
Jia arrives and notices the villagers eavesdropping. She reacts to their presence.
The medical board staff then get straight to the point.
Dev Gets a 15-Day Deadline
The medical board confronts Dev about the health centre’s records.
They question him about why not a single patient has been registered in the centre’s record book.
Dev tries to answer their concerns, but the board officials make the situation clear.
They inform him that a review team will return after 15 days.
Before the team arrives, Dev must treat at least 50 patients.
If he fails to do so, his medical licence will be revoked.
The warning leaves Dev facing a serious professional crisis.
The Kallari Health Centre, which he has been trying to keep alive despite opposition and limited patients, now has only 15 days to prove that it is actually serving the village.
For Dev, the challenge is not simply about numbers. His medical career itself is now at stake.
The episode ends with this major deadline hanging over him.
Yaadein 7th October 2026 Precap
The upcoming episode takes the conflict to another level.
Masaan Baba gathers the villagers and makes them promise that not a single person will visit the Kallari Health Centre for the next 15 days.
With Dev required to treat 50 patients within exactly the same period, Masaan Baba’s plan could make the medical board’s condition almost impossible for him to fulfil.
Yaadein 7th October 2026 Review
The episode does a good job of connecting Dev’s personal past with the larger battle surrounding the Kallari Health Centre.
Shristi’s conversation with Jia is particularly interesting because it reveals that she is not simply confused by Dev’s behaviour. She is genuinely frightened by the version of him that has returned after losing eight years of memories. Her statement that she no longer recognises him adds an emotional layer to Dev’s memory-loss track.
At the same time, Masaan Baba’s decision to investigate Dev’s past suggests that the mystery surrounding those missing eight years is far from over. If Johala Chap actually finds something damaging, Dev could soon have to fight a battle on two fronts.
The medical board’s 15-day deadline is the episode’s strongest development, though. Dev needs 50 patients to protect his medical licence, and Masaan Baba now plans to make sure he gets absolutely none.
That is a wonderfully nasty little trap.
The next 15 days could become the biggest test yet for Dev, because treating patients is the easy part. Getting those patients through Masaan Baba’s wall of opposition is going to be the real challenge.
