Bigg Boss 20 9th October 2026 Written Update: Love Chooses Asif as Captain as Kanika Calls Her Selfish
The 9th October 2026 episode of Bigg Boss 20 begins with Day 33 inside the house, and the birthday celebrations quickly turn into fresh arguments. Love finds herself at the centre of multiple clashes, first with Kanika and later with Yung and Scout. Her biggest decision of the day comes during the captaincy task when she gets the power to decide the fate of the contenders. Love chooses Asif as the new captain, but the decision leaves several housemates unhappy.
Love Gets Offended Over Gullu and Kanika
The episode begins with Gullu wishing Kanika a happy birthday.
Love discusses the situation with Amrapali, Scout and Yung and asks them to maintain some distance from Kanika and Gullu. She tells them to keep this in mind.
Yung and Scout point out that they do not really talk to Kanika that much anyway. Still, they decide to wish her on her birthday. Amrapali also decides to wish Kanika.
Aman feels that Love should wish Kanika too since it is her birthday.
Love, though, is already feeling upset.
She feels that people inside the house judge her because of her style and the way she presents herself rather than looking at her personality. The situation clearly bothers her, and she feels hurt by the way she believes she is being perceived.
Mahhi and Uditi Clash Over House Duties
The tension continues when Uditi questions Mahhi about not completing her duty.
Mahhi explains that other housemates were fighting at the time, which prevented her from doing it.
Uditi argues that Mahhi could have completed the duty afterward. As captain, she believes it is her responsibility to remind the housemates about their duties.
Mahhi feels that Uditi is simply looking for another reason to argue with her.
She asks Uditi to stop fighting with her.
Uditi refuses to back down and tells Mahhi to get ready and complete the cleaning.
Mahhi simply tells her to go.

Amrapali then reads out the details of a Flipkart fashion show task.
The housemates are paired into different jodis.
Love and Yung become the first jodi, followed by Qazi and Uditi, Arishfa and Asif, and Kanika and Gullu.
Bigg Boss asks all the pairs to get ready and walk the ramp while showcasing their best looks.
The housemates enthusiastically participate in the fashion task.
During the activity, Gullu makes a comment about Qazi’s walk, saying that Qazi is walking more like a girl than Uditi.
The fashion segment gives everyone a chance to enjoy themselves before the house returns to its usual arguments.
After the task, Gullu falls asleep.
When the alarm rings, Uditi starts searching for the person who has been sleeping.
Gullu quickly runs towards the kitchen.
Love Gets the Power to Decide the Captain
The biggest twist of the episode arrives when Bigg Boss introduces the captaincy task.
Love receives a special power that allows her to decide the ranking of the captaincy contenders.
She gives Kanika the lowest number on the list.
Kanika is obviously unhappy with the decision, and the two immediately start arguing.
Love also places herself at the top of the priority list. She makes it clear that she believes she deserves to become the captain of the house.
Bigg Boss then introduces another important condition.
The housemates have an opportunity to earn their ration, but Love will decide whether they receive a larger ration or are forced to survive on only the basic ration.
Scout tells Yung that Love is creating unnecessary drama for herself.
Bigg Boss explains that Love will ultimately decide the captain based on the percentage assigned to the contenders.
Love finally makes her choice.
She chooses Asif as the new captain of the house.

Asif then gives the housemates 25 percent ration.
Kanika immediately taunts Love and says that her decision proves she is selfish once again.
She accuses Love of not thinking about the other inmates while making her decision.
Love and Kanika get into another verbal argument.
Amrapali joins the confrontation and tells Kanika that she constantly comments on other people’s faces and therefore does not deserve to become captain.
Asif attempts to calm both women and asks them to stop fighting.
Love and Asif Clear Their Misunderstanding
Later, Asif complains to Love that she did not give him priority.
Love tries to explain herself and clear the misunderstanding between them.
At the same time, Scout approaches Love to speak with her.
Love tells him that she needs to cook because everyone is demanding food from her.
Scout takes offence at the way she responds.
Amrapali calls Scout crazy, while Love accuses him of manipulating Asif.
The situation becomes increasingly complicated as different housemates start taking sides.
Yung also complains to Amrapali and Love that Scout is not allowing him to speak properly.
He becomes frustrated with Scout.
Love, meanwhile, feels completely shattered.
She believes that despite sacrificing her own chance at becoming captain, everyone is still blaming her for the outcome.
Scout and Yung Decide to Distance Themselves From Love
Scout later asks Yung whom he thinks Asif will give the highest priority to within their group.
Yung says he believes Asif will give the highest priority to Scout and the lowest priority to Love.
Yung also admits that he wants to remain in Asif’s good books.
Scout disagrees with Yung’s assessment.
Yung becomes irritated and asks Scout to let him speak instead of constantly interrupting him.
Love later complains to Yung about Kanika.
Scout then asks Gullu whom he thinks Love will give priority to.
Gullu says Love may give priority to either Amrapali or Yung.
After discussing the situation, Scout and Yung decide that it may be better for them to distance themselves from Love.
Yung Questions Love Over Qazi
Yung later confronts Love about supporting Qazi’s acting.
He is clearly irritated with her decision and questions why she keeps supporting Qazi.
The argument becomes personal, with Yung even telling Love that she does not have a brain.
The tension between them continues to grow.
The house then gets a lighter break from the arguments when Gullu and Qazi dress up as Shaikhs.
Mahhi and Kanika also twin with each other and perform together to entertain the other housemates.
Qazi and Love Share a Fun Moment
Qazi dances with Love.
Later, Aman and Uditi ask Qazi how he is feeling.
Qazi jokingly asks whether they have finally found time to ask him after so long.
He points out that everyone has been asking about his health, including people he had supported in the house.

Gullu eventually tells Qazi that Love has hidden his toy.
He jokingly advises Qazi to forget the cheetah and take the ostrich instead.
Asif asks Qazi to let everyone sleep.
Amrapali also asks the housemates not to encourage Qazi.
Things become even more chaotic when Qazi kisses Scout, leaving Scout offended.
The episode ends amid the usual mixture of arguments, teasing and house politics.
Review
This episode belongs to Love, but not necessarily in the way she would have wanted.
She starts the day feeling judged for her appearance and ends it being labelled selfish after using her captaincy power. The problem is that Love seems to be making decisions emotionally, and every explanation she gives only creates another argument.
Her decision to choose Asif is actually interesting because she gives up her own chance at captaincy, yet instead of being appreciated for that sacrifice, she is attacked by Kanika and blamed by others for the reduced ration.
Kanika, on the other hand, clearly cannot let the Love issue go. Their repeated clashes are beginning to feel less like one isolated disagreement and more like a genuine rivalry.
The Scout-Yung-Love equation is also becoming messy. Yung wants to be heard, Scout feels threatened by his opinions, and Love is increasingly finding herself isolated from people she thought were on her side.
And then there is Qazi, who seems determined to turn the house upside down one missing toy at a time.
The captaincy decision has created new alliances, new complaints and plenty of bruised egos. Exactly the kind of Bigg Boss chaos Day 33 needed.
