Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 9th October 2026 Written Update: Myra Realizes Her Mistake as Abhira and Armaan Wait for Her

The 9th October episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai takes Myra and Kabir closer to realizing how much they miss their families. A chance encounter with a woman in labour makes them emotional, while back home, Abhira and Armaan continue waiting for Myra. Armaan promises that no matter how big her mistake is, he will still be ready to forgive her. By the end, Myra finally decides that she wants to return home.

Myra and Kabir Help a Woman in Labour

The episode begins with Myra and Kabir unexpectedly coming across a woman who is in labour.

The situation immediately becomes serious, and both of them try to help the woman and her husband. The woman’s husband stays close to his wife and does everything he can to take care of her.

An ambulance soon arrives.

The nurse checks the woman and says that the delivery needs to be performed immediately. The situation leaves everyone anxious.

Myra, Kabir and the woman’s husband pray to God as they wait.

The husband is nervous about what is about to happen. He worries about whether he will be able to handle the responsibility of taking care of his newborn baby.

Myra and Kabir encourage him to stay positive and assure him that everything will be fine.

Soon, the baby arrives.

The couple is overwhelmed with happiness, and Myra and Kabir congratulate the new father.

The emotional experience affects both of them more deeply than they expect. Watching a family welcome a newborn reminds Myra and Kabir of their own families and the homes they have left behind.

Armaan Refuses to Leave Without Myra

Back home, Madhav asks Abhira to get some sleep.

He reminds her that she has not slept properly for two days. Abhira admits that she cannot sleep because Myra has taken her sleep away with her.

Madhav tells Abhira that if she genuinely wants to find Myra, she also needs to take care of herself.

Armaan, though, refuses to sleep.

Abhira asks him what he wants to do.

Armaan sits near the entrance and says that he will wait there for Myra.

His decision is simple: he does not want to be asleep if Myra comes back.

He wants to be there when she returns.

A Father’s Promise Makes Myra Emotional

The man whose wife has just delivered their baby finally meets his newborn.

He is filled with happiness as he looks at the child.

Myra and Kabir watch the emotional moment and once again think about their own families.

The man then asks about Pooja.

The nurse assures him that she is fine. She explains that despite being in severe pain, Pooja was still worried about the baby.

The nurse says that a mother is a form of God.

Her words have a powerful impact on everyone around her.

For Myra, the moment brings back memories of Abhira. She cannot ignore the fact that the love between a mother and child is difficult to replace, no matter how far someone runs away.

Kabir also becomes emotional as he thinks about his own family.

Armaan Promises to Forgive Myra

Meanwhile, Armaan continues waiting for Myra.

He says that he wants to sit there so that when Myra eventually returns, he can give her one message: no matter how big a mistake she makes, he will always wait for her.

Abhira tells him that Myra will eventually understand her own mistake.

She then asks Armaan what he would do if Myra suddenly arrived at that very moment.

Armaan immediately says that he would forgive her and hug her.

His answer leaves no doubt about how much he loves Myra.

Abhira then adds her own promise. She says that she will scold Myra when she returns and later cook noodles for her.

The two continue waiting for Myra.

Their conversation shows that despite their disappointment and hurt, neither Abhira nor Armaan has stopped considering Myra part of their family.

Myra and Kabir Miss Their Families

The new father talks lovingly to his baby.

He promises that he will always be his child’s saviour and will protect him.

Kabir and Myra watch the scene and once again become emotional.

The experience is making it increasingly difficult for them to ignore their feelings.

Back home, Abhira suddenly notices a call from an unknown number.

She becomes convinced that the number could belong to Myra.

Armaan asks her to redial it immediately.

But Myra’s mobile phone breaks at that exact moment.

Myra becomes frustrated and shouts at Kabir for not walking properly.

Kabir asks why she is shouting at him.

Myra explains that the person who cares is the one who ends up shouting when someone makes a mistake.

The exchange is slightly funny, but beneath it, both of them are dealing with the same emotional problem.

They miss their families.

Abhira Receives Myra’s Voice Note

Soon, Abhira and Armaan receive a voice note from Myra.

The message gives them a clearer idea of what she is feeling.

Myra refuses to return home on her own.

Abhira decides that she will not try to trace Myra.

She fears that forcing Myra to return could make her even more determined to stay away.

Armaan, though, tries to make Abhira understand that Myra needs them.

He reminds her that Myra may be making mistakes, but she is still their daughter and needs their support.

Abhira finally breaks down in tears.

Her biggest fear is not simply that Myra has left. It is the possibility that Myra may never choose to come back.

For a mother, that uncertainty is unbearable.

Myra Regrets Hurting Abhira

Meanwhile, Myra wonders whether Abhira has replied to her voice note.

She begins thinking about everything that has happened.

Myra regrets leaving home and realizes that her decision has broken Abhira’s heart.

The distance that initially felt like freedom is now making her understand what she gave up.

Kabir also misses his family.

He finally realizes that running away from home was a big mistake.

Both Myra and Kabir are therefore reaching the same realization from different sides: leaving may have seemed like the answer at the time, but being away from their families is forcing them to understand their value.

The episode ends with both of them emotionally reconsidering their decisions.

Precap: Myra Wants to Return Home

The precap finally brings an important change in Myra’s attitude.

Kabir asks her what has happened.

Myra admits that she wants to go back to Armaan and Abhira.

She then apologizes to Armaan and Abhira.

Armaan immediately tells her to stop apologizing.

Abhira also makes it clear that Myra realizing her mistake is enough for her.

The moment suggests that the long emotional separation may finally be coming to an end.

Review

This is one of the more emotionally effective episodes of the current Myra-Kabir track because the story finally moves away from simply showing them enjoying their freedom and starts making them confront the consequences of leaving home.

The woman’s delivery works as an emotional trigger without feeling completely disconnected from the main story. Watching a father meet his newborn and hearing the nurse describe a mother’s love naturally reminds Myra of Abhira. Kabir also begins to understand that his family cannot simply be left behind without consequences.

Armaan’s decision to sit at the entrance and wait for Myra is easily the sweetest part of the episode. He is hurt, but his love does not disappear. His promise that he will forgive Myra and hug her, no matter how big her mistake is, shows that he is waiting for reconciliation rather than revenge.

Abhira’s noodle threat is also a classic mother moment — scold first, feed later.

The strongest development, though, comes in the precap. Myra finally admits that she wants to return to Armaan and Abhira. After everything that has happened, her realization is exactly what the track needed.

Now the real emotional payoff will come when Myra actually stands in front of Abhira and Armaan. The apology may be easy to say, but rebuilding the trust she hurt will be the more interesting part.

Ratings: 4.9/5
