Ankit Tricks Vikrant With a Fake Police Call

This episode works particularly well because of the dramatic irony. Vikrant is doing everything he can to protect Dua and Mannat, while Ankit is quietly preparing the evidence that could destroy his life.
Vikrant’s decision not to tell Dua about Dhairya immediately is understandable. He sees her finally beginning to smile again and does not want to take that happiness away from her. At the same time, Mannat’s advice to Dua about moving on gives the episode an emotional backbone. Her own experience with Aishwarya allows her to understand exactly how difficult it is to stop living inside someone else’s betrayal.
Ankit, though, is becoming frighteningly methodical. The fingerprints, knife, door, table, footprints, blood-stained clothes and CCTV angle together make his plan much more dangerous than a simple accusation. He is trying to create an entire chain of circumstantial evidence against Vikrant.
And then comes the cruelest part: Dua is planning a birthday surprise for the very man who is about to be arrested.
