Yaadein 21st October 2026 Written Update: Dev Saves Mishri’s Baby as Masaan Baba Demands Punishment

Masaan Baba Threatens to Stop Dev

The episode begins with Meena giving Dev permission to deliver Mishri’s baby. Just when Dev prepares to help the struggling mother, Masaan Baba arrives with a sword and declares that he will not allow Dev to commit this so-called sin.

Masaan Baba threatens to kill Dev or die trying to stop him. Dev stands his ground and declares that he will deliver the baby, even if it costs him his life. His determination angers the villagers, who pick up weapons to prevent him from proceeding.

With Mishri’s life and her baby’s safety at stake, Dev faces a dangerous situation. He knows that fighting the villagers will only make matters worse, so he looks for another way to convince them to let him provide medical treatment.

Dev Pretends to Be Possessed by Maata Rani

Dev dreams of Shristi, who encourages him to find a solution without provoking the villagers. She assures him that he can handle the situation and urges him not to lose hope.

Her words give Dev the courage to think differently. He looks towards Maata Rani and comes up with a plan.

Dev pretends to complain to Maata Rani that he has failed to save Mishri. He then acts as though the goddess has possessed him, using the moment to confront the villagers.

Speaking as Maata Rani, Dev questions their decision to stop him from saving a woman and her unborn child. He declares that Maata Rani has chosen Dev to save Mishri and her baby.

After delivering his message, Dev pretends to lose consciousness.

Uditanshu immediately steps forward and tells the villagers that Maata Rani has chosen Dev for the task. He urges everyone to stop creating obstacles and allow Dev to do what is necessary.

When Dev regains consciousness, the villagers request him to save Mishri and her baby. Dev apologises to Maata Rani, picks up a diya and heads towards Mishri.

The villagers kneel down and apologise to Dev and Maata Rani, finally allowing him to proceed with the delivery.

Dev Delivers Mishri’s Baby

With the villagers no longer standing in his way, Dev begins treating Mishri and works to deliver her baby. He successfully delivers the child, but his relief quickly turns into concern when he notices that the newborn is not crying.

Mishri becomes emotional and desperately pleads with Dev to save her baby. The situation grows tense as everyone waits anxiously for the newborn to respond.

Masaan Baba seizes the opportunity to turn the villagers against Dev. He claims that Dev has killed the baby, attempting to make them question the doctor’s actions.

The villagers struggle to understand what has gone wrong. They wonder how Dev could be responsible when Maata Rani herself supposedly chose him to save Mishri and her child.

Masaan Baba argues that Dev must have committed some sin, using the frightening situation to strengthen his accusations. Uditanshu, though, asks the villagers not to jump to conclusions and urges them to remain patient.

Dev refuses to give up. He continues trying to save the newborn while the villagers pray to Maata Rani for the baby’s life.

Finally, the baby begins to cry.

The sound brings immediate relief and joy to everyone present. The villagers celebrate the newborn’s survival and declare that Maata Rani has saved the child. Dev’s determination pays off, and Mishri can finally hold her baby safely.

Mishri Names Her Daughter Durga

Overwhelmed with happiness, Mishri speaks to Meena and suggests naming her daughter Durga because she was born during Navratri.

Meena agrees with the suggestion, and the family celebrates the baby’s arrival. The villagers praise Dev for saving Mishri and her daughter, while those who opposed him apologise for doubting him.

For a moment, Dev’s actions earn him the villagers’ respect. Yet he knows that the way he convinced them to let him perform the delivery was based on a lie.

Dev Confesses the Truth to the Villagers

Later, Dev approaches Maata Rani and apologises for using the goddess’s name to save Mishri and her baby. Although his intention was to protect their lives, he feels the need to acknowledge what he has done.

Dev then makes a surprising decision and confesses everything to the villagers. He reveals that he was never possessed by Maata Rani and admits that he pretended to be the goddess’s chosen messenger only to persuade them to let him treat Mishri.

He apologises for deceiving everyone, choosing honesty even though his confession could turn the villagers against him again.

Masaan Baba immediately seizes the opportunity to condemn Dev. He accuses Dev of deceiving the entire village and declares that he must pay for his sin.

The episode ends with Dev facing the consequences of his actions. Although he saves Mishri and her baby, his decision to reveal the truth gives Masaan Baba another reason to target him.

Precap

Masaan Baba tells Dev that he must either leave Kallari village or accept his punishment. Dev chooses to accept the punishment rather than leave.

Will Dev’s courage help him overcome Masaan Baba’s hostility, or will the villagers turn against him once again?

Review

Dev’s rescue of Mishri and her baby delivers the episode’s biggest emotional moment. His decision to pretend to be possessed by Maata Rani is risky, but it reflects his desperation to overcome the villagers’ resistance and save two lives.

The baby’s delayed cry creates genuine suspense, while Masaan Baba’s attempt to blame Dev shows how quickly he exploits fear to maintain control. Dev’s confession adds an interesting moral dilemma: he saves a life through deception, then chooses to tell the truth despite knowing the consequences.

The upcoming punishment track promises another test of Dev’s courage. The question is whether the villagers will remember the life he saved or focus only on the lie he told.
