Yaadein 23rd October 2026 Written Update: Dev Questions Shristi About Digvijay as Jealousy Creates Trouble

Dev Refuses to Make Tea for Shristi

The episode begins with Dev telling Shristi that he will not make tea for her until she makes tea for him. He leaves after making his point, setting the tone for another round of playful arguments between them.

Later, Dev waits for Shristi at the hospital but becomes upset when she fails to arrive. His disappointment grows as he continues waiting for her.

Sadhu Creates Trouble at the Hospital

A patient named Sadhu arrives at the hospital and tells Dev that he has a fever. Dev examines him and confirms that he does not have one.

Sadhu insists that the fever will develop soon and declares that he will remain at the hospital until it does. Dev is puzzled by his unusual behaviour and comments on his insistence.

Meanwhile, Shristi realises that Dev has not had his tea yet. She brings him a cup to the hospital, but their reunion quickly turns into an argument. Dev signals to Shristi that someone else is present, but before they can resolve their differences, Sadhu takes the tea she has brought for Dev and drinks it.

Meena arrives soon afterwards with another cup of tea for Dev. Surprised, Dev asks how she knows he has not had his tea. Meena explains that theirs is a small village where everyone knows what is happening.

She leaves after answering him, but Sadhu once again takes the tea and drinks it himself. Dev and Shristi step outside the hospital and discuss Sadhu’s strange behaviour, frustrated by his repeated interruptions.

Dev Gets Upset When Shristi Answers Digvijay’s Call

Their conversation takes an unexpected turn when Dev notices that Shristi is receiving a call from Digvijay.

As Shristi prepares to answer, Dev stops her. He argues that she should not take Digvijay’s call because of their past relationship.

Shristi refuses to accept his interference. She warns Dev not to dictate whom she should or should not speak to and answers the call despite his objections.

Her decision upsets Dev, who walks away without resolving the disagreement.

The incident exposes the growing tension between them. Dev appears uncomfortable with Shristi’s continued connection to Digvijay, while Shristi refuses to let their relationship determine whom she can communicate with.

Jia Understands Dev’s Jealousy but Supports Shristi’s Independence

Jia approaches Shristi and asks whether she was speaking to Digvijay. Shristi confirms it and explains that Digvijay’s mother is seriously unwell.

She had previously asked Digvijay to contact her if he needed help, which is why he called. Shristi then admits that Dev witnessed the call and became upset.

Jia says Dev’s reaction is natural, considering Shristi and Digvijay’s romantic history. Shristi disagrees with the idea that jealousy should determine her choices.

She firmly tells Jia that a man should not decide whom a woman can speak to or what she should do. Jia agrees with her perspective.

Shristi’s response highlights the difference between understanding someone’s feelings and allowing those feelings to control another person’s decisions.

Mallar Tries to Earn Jia’s Respect

Elsewhere, Mallar approaches Jia and apologises for proposing to her. Jia, already troubled by her own problems, asks him to leave her alone.

Mallar refuses to leave without trying to understand what is bothering her. He asks Jia to share her worries and promises that he will find a solution.

Jia responds bluntly that people share their problems with those they respect, not with everyone. Her words make it clear that Mallar has not yet earned the place in her life he hopes to occupy.

Mallar takes her rejection as a challenge. He promises that one day he will achieve something great and earn her respect before leaving.

His determination remains intact, but Jia makes it clear that respect cannot simply be demanded.

Dev Loses His Temper at the Health Centre

Dev continues to brood over Shristi answering Digvijay’s call. His frustration spills over when Sadhu’s unusual behaviour becomes too much for him to tolerate.

Dev lashes out at Sadhu and his friend, eventually sending them out of the Kallari Health Centre.

Jia notices Dev’s anger and asks him to calm down and explain what has happened. Dev reveals that he is upset because Shristi has saved Digvijay’s contact with two heart symbols.

Jia criticises Dev for throwing a tantrum like a teenager. Rather than helping him justify his anger, she makes him confront how immaturely he is handling his feelings.

Dev’s reaction suggests that the issue is not merely the phone call. The hearts beside Digvijay’s name have made him question whether Shristi has truly moved on from her past relationship.

Dev Questions Shristi About the Two Heart Symbols

At night, Dev remains upset and leaves without eating. Shristi follows him, determined to understand why he is still angry.

She asks Dev what is bothering him, and he directly questions her about saving Digvijay’s number with two heart symbols.

Shristi explains that she saved the contact four years ago, when she and Digvijay were in love. The symbols date back to their relationship rather than necessarily reflecting her present feelings.

Dev responds to her explanation, but the conversation leaves their differences unresolved.

For Shristi, the contact name is a reminder of the past. For Dev, it becomes a reason to question where he stands in her life. Until they openly discuss their insecurities and expectations, even a simple phone call can turn into another argument.

The episode ends with Dev still troubled by Shristi’s connection to Digvijay.

Precap

Shristi argues with Dev, suggesting that their disagreement over Digvijay is far from over.

Review

Sadhu’s repeated attempts to drink Dev’s tea provide the episode’s comic relief, but the main storyline centres on Dev’s jealousy. His discomfort about Digvijay is understandable given Shristi’s history with him, yet telling her whom she can speak to crosses a line. Jia’s criticism is timely: Dev needs to communicate his insecurities rather than turn them into anger.

Shristi also has a point. She saved Digvijay’s number four years ago, and the old contact name alone does not establish what she feels today. Still, the situation exposes an unresolved question about whether she and Dev have enough trust to discuss their past relationships without fighting.

Mallar’s attempt to earn Jia’s respect adds a smaller emotional thread, while the episode’s ending sets up another confrontation between Dev and Shristi. Their relationship needs an honest conversation more than another round of accusations.
