Yaadein 26th October 2026 Written Update: Dev and Shristi Get Romantic as Uditanshu Suspects Masaan Baba
The villagers try to bring Dev and Shristi closer
The episode begins with the villagers learning that misunderstandings have developed between Dev and Shristi. Hoping to resolve their differences, they decide to intervene and help the couple get closer.
The village women gather around Shristi and offer her advice on how to win Dev’s heart. They suggest different ways to improve her relationship, with Srijha even recommending a makeover.
Shristi listens to their suggestions but soon becomes irritated by their enthusiasm. She jokingly questions whether they have come to improve her marriage or arrange her wedding, making it clear that she is not particularly impressed by their ideas.
At the same time, the village men decide to help Dev win Shristi’s heart. Their advice, though, turns out to be far from sensible. One man suggests that Dev should beat Shristi with a stick to get rid of her anger.
Dev is appalled by the suggestion. He picks up a stick himself and threatens to beat the men instead. Realizing that their advice has backfired, the villagers quickly leave.
Uditanshu suspects that Masaan Baba’s sacred ash is dangerous
Elsewhere, Gehna argues with Uditanshu and threatens to leave him. Uditanshu covers her mouth and applies sacred ash to her forehead. Gehna suddenly calms down and begins praising him.
Uditanshu notices the unusual smell of the ash and checks Gehna’s pulse. The sudden change in her behaviour makes him suspicious.
He begins to believe that Dev’s doubts about Masaan Baba may be justified. Uditanshu suspects that Masaan Baba is mixing harmful chemicals into the sacred ash, potentially influencing the people who use it.
The incident raises serious questions about Masaan Baba’s intentions and the power he appears to hold over the villagers. Uditanshu now has another reason to investigate what is really happening behind the spiritual practices.
Shristi agrees to wear a dress for Dev
Meanwhile, the village women continue trying to improve Shristi’s appearance. They insist that she wear a new dress, and Jia offers a suitable outfit from her collection.
When Jia shows them a cocktail dress, the women immediately encourage Shristi to wear it. Shristi refuses at first, unwilling to follow their instructions simply because they believe it will impress Dev.
Fed up with their interference, Shristi goes into a room and calls Dev to ask what he is doing.
Dev explains that he is protecting his peace of mind with a stick because the villagers would otherwise drive him crazy with their advice. Shristi tells him that the women are troubling her by insisting that she wear a particular dress.
Instead of taking her side and asking the women to leave her alone, Dev suggests that she simply wear the dress so they will stop bothering her.
Shristi eventually agrees, deciding that giving in to the request might be easier than continuing to argue with everyone.
Sadhu’s wife demands the return of his ring
At the Kallari Health Centre, Sadhu’s wife arrives and demands that Dev return Sadhu’s ring. She accuses Dev of stealing it, but he explains that Sadhu left the ring with him as collateral.
Dev insists that Sadhu’s wife must first return the thermometer they took from him. She claims that the thermometer is broken, refusing to provide a satisfactory solution.
She then proposes that Dev accept Sadhu himself as collateral in exchange for the ring. Dev has had enough of the situation and wants nothing more to do with Sadhu or his problems.
He returns the ring to Sadhu’s wife and sends her away, choosing to end the dispute rather than get drawn into another argument.
Dev is impressed by Shristi’s new look
After getting ready, Shristi presents herself to the village women. They are delighted with her appearance and shower her with compliments.
Still worried that Shristi might change her mind, the women leave Srijha behind to ensure that she keeps wearing the dress until Dev sees her.
Shristi then calls Dev and asks him to come to her immediately. Dev agrees and arrives to meet her.
Srijha leaves the couple alone, giving them some privacy. Dev looks at Shristi and praises her appearance, making the effort worthwhile.
He then convinces her to dance with him. The two share a romantic moment, offering a glimpse of the affection that remains between them despite their misunderstandings.
The villagers’ unusual matchmaking tactics finally appear to have worked, as Dev and Shristi begin reconnecting.
Masaan Baba steals Uditanshu’s phone
Elsewhere, Uditanshu takes Gehna to Masaan Baba and praises him. He seeks the spiritual leader’s blessings, apparently continuing to show faith in him despite his growing suspicions.
Masaan Baba takes advantage of the situation and secretly steals Uditanshu’s phone.
The incident adds another layer of mystery to Masaan Baba’s behaviour. Uditanshu suspects that something is wrong with the sacred ash, yet he continues to approach the man he now doubts.
With the phone stolen and the suspicious effects of the ash still unexplained, the danger surrounding Masaan Baba’s influence continues to grow.
The episode ends with Dev and Shristi sharing a dance, while Uditanshu’s suspicions point towards a darker development in the village.

Review
The episode balances light-hearted romance with a growing mystery. Dev and Shristi’s interactions provide some entertaining moments, especially when Dev turns the villagers’ ridiculous advice against them and later encourages Shristi to dance with him.
The village women’s makeover plan is amusing, although their determination to control Shristi’s appearance feels excessive. The more compelling storyline is Uditanshu’s suspicion that Masaan Baba is using harmful chemicals in the sacred ash. Gehna’s sudden change in behaviour gives the mystery a disturbing edge, and the stolen phone adds to the intrigue.
The precap is particularly interesting because Uditanshu joining Masaan Baba seems to contradict his suspicions. Whether this is a genuine change of allegiance or part of a larger plan remains to be seen.
