The story is about four individuals – Abhijit and his wife, daughter – Rinki and caretaker girl – Sachi. Abhijit’s wife doesn’t take of her own daughter Rinki and many times engages in petty arguments with her husband. She asks him whether she should waste her entire life because of Rinki and shows no care and feelings. He asks her to not waste the childhood of Rinki since she is not behaving as a good mother. She replies that he is wasting her life by using the name of Rinki.
Abhijit’s wife engages herself in browsing mobile or other activities and continues to not care Rinki. When Abhijit and his wife fight, Rinki finds solace and support from Sachi who works as a caretaker in their home. She then informs her husband that he doesn’t need a wife but a glorified maid. The level of fight goes to a level when Abhijit’s wife even pushes him and all these reckless fights are happening in front of Rinki’s eyes who in turn take cover with Sachi.
Sooner, Sachi spends more time taking care of Rinki so as to fill the void in her and showers happiness. Sachi speaks to Abhijit that he is a good father while having that short conversation keeps her eyes lowered to express shyness as well respect. He smiles after hearing it. Sachi and Rinki feel happy in each other’s company and engage in playful activities and Abhijit joins them bringing more happiness to them as well to himself.
Later on, Abhijit develops feelings for Sachi. Abhijit’s mother thinks Sachi as a mere servant and informs the same to her. Abhijit confesses to his mother that he loves Sachi and wants to marry her and his mother wants him to not entertain those thoughts. Sachi also comes to know about Abhijit’s feelings for her and now is able to look into his eyes instead of lowering her eyes which she used to do earlier. Sachi seems to reciprocate the same feelings for Abhijit but is keeping quiet and nervous because of the developments in his life and home. On the other hand when Abhijit’s wife comes to know that he wants to marry Sachi, she makes fun of him and claps her hands to show some insensitivity.
Some of the questions are, How would Abhijit convince his mother and wife, will they allow him to go on with his decision to marry Sachi ? Why Abhijit’s wife was insensitive and not caring for her own daughter, was she only concerned about herself and selfish ? Was Abhijit’s love for Sachi which seems to be from his heart driven because of Rinki’s happiness alone or he loves her for more reasons ? Whether Sachi eventually accepts Abhijit’s love for her even though she might feel that Abhi’s love is driven because of Rinki ? Will they finally realize their mutual love and become lovestruck ?
