Celebrate Republic day with Tri-Color Sweets

India would be celebrating 70th Republic day on Saturday, 26th January, 2019. India achieved Independence from British rule on 15 August 1947 with life sacrificing efforts of freedom fighters for a free India. We salute those fighters without whom it would have been impossible to get freedom. The constitution came into force on 26, January 1950 with 29 states and 7 union territories. People celebrate Republic day with festivities and patriotic fervor across India. So, Invite your relatives and friends and make some sweets, desserts to spread peace, humanity and prosperity that tri-color gives. Today we are going to share a recipe Tri color pudding on the eve of republic day.

Tri-color China Grass pudding:
Ingredients:
China grass, Water, sugar, milk, food color- orange and green
Method of Cooking:
To make orange layer: Soak 5 grams of China grass in 300 ml of water for 10 minutes. Now boil it until the china grass melts and becomes a smooth texture. Now add 3 tsp of sugar and 3 tsp of orange syrup. Allow it to boil for another 5 minutes. Pour in a container and keep refrigerate for 30 minutes until it sets properly.

To make white layer: Soak 5 grams of China grass in 200 ml of water for about 10 minutes and cook for 10 minutes till it melts, keep aside. In a separate bowl, add 250 ml of milk and allow it to boil, add 3 tsp of sugar and mix well. Now add china grass mixture to milk and cook for another 5 minutes. Pour this mixture slowly on the orange layer that has set already. Keep again for 30 minutes in the refrigerator to set.

To make green layer: Soak 5 grams of China grass in 300 ml of water for 10 minutes before boiling and getting a soft texture. Now add 3 tsp of sugar and 3 tsp of green raw mango syrup. Allow it to boil for another 5 minutes. Pour it on a white layer and keep refrigerate for 30 minutes until it sets properly. Delicious pudding is ready. Cut in small pieces.
