Kumkum Bhagya 5th August 2023 Written Update Engagement. Akshay tells Ranbir that he was just teasing him. He asks how did he like the surprise. Ranbir asks if he has called Pallavi home. Akshay tells that nobody knows Ranbir’s family. He adds that he met Pallavi in the mall and she was shocked to know that Ranbir is living in Tandon house and he is dating Mihika now. He tells that Pallavi is happy to know about Mihika, which means Pallavi didn’t like his ex-wife. He asks if is he happy to meet Pallavi or not. Ranbir tells that he is happy. Akshay asks him to come and spend time with Pallavi. Pallavi tells that she is glad to see Ranbir with the Tandon family. Vishaka tells that she was keeping an eye on Ranbir and Mihika, to know if they are together in a relationship or not. Pallavi asks why did she do this.
Akshay gets Ranbir downstairs. He tells that Ranbir behaves strangely sometimes, Ranbir is his good friend but never told him about Mihika. Pallavi asks what he means to say. Mihika tells that Ranbir didn’t know she is Akshay’s sister. She doesn’t want to tell her boyfriend about her rich family, because she is scared of getting cheated for money. Manpreet tells that they should get Ranbir and Mihika married soon. Pallavi is happy for Ranbir. Ranbir asks Mihika to tell them the truth. Ranbir tells that everyone is happy. Akshay asks him why is he so silent and isn’t he happy. Ranbir tells that he was thinking of something. He refuses to marry Mihika. The family is shocked by his reply. Akshay asks Ranbir why can’t he marry Mihika. Ranbir asks Mihika to say.
Mihika is silent. Ranbir tells that Vishaka doubts their relationship is fake and her doubt was right. He apologizes that he has no real relationship with Mihika. He tells that he loves someone else and he can’t cheat them further. He is shocked to see Ashok getting chest pain. He worries for Ashok. He realizes that Ashok has a weak heart. He asks Ashok to sit and have water. Ashok gets the pin that was pricking him and causing the pain. Ranbir asks Vishaka and Akshay to stop testing him now. He lies to them for Ashok’s sake. He tells that he just wanted to see their reaction.

He tells that Mihika and he love each other and they are made for each other. He announces his marriage to Mihika. The family gets a big relief and wide smile on their faces. Akshay is confused. Vishaka congratulates Pallavi. Ashok tells Ranbir that he is okay. Both families decide on Ranbir and Mihika’s engagement ceremony. Manpreet thanked Pallavi for coming. Shahana and Prachi come home. They talk about Ranbir’s impulsive behavior. Prachi tells that they can’t punish the one they love. Pallavi thinks to talk to Manpreet about Ranbir’s past. She tells that Ranbir had been married before but his wife took him away from the family. She is glad that Mihika got Ranbir into his family.
Pallavi makes a leave without seeing Prachi there. Manpreet welcomes Prachi and Sahana home. Prachi finds everyone happy and celebrating. Shahana asks what’s the good news. Akshay asks Mihika to get sweets for everyone. Mihika gets the sweets. Akshay reveals about Ranbir and Mihika’s engagement getting fixed. He asks Ranbir to feed the sweets to Prachi and Mihika. Ranbir takes the sweets to Prachi. She is in shock and feels hurt.
