Bhagya Lakshmi 23rd January 2025 Written Update. The episode kicks off with Rishi finally mustering the courage to confess his love to Lakshmi. For a guy who’s spent countless episodes either hurting or ignoring her, this sudden declaration feels more like a PR stunt than genuine emotion. With Kiran comforting the eternally delusional Malishka in the background, Rishi goes full drama mode, proclaiming his undying love in front of everyone. He conveniently glosses over the fact that his so-called love has been accompanied by betrayals, neglect, and constant flip-flopping. But sure, Rishi, let’s all pretend you’re a saint now. He even begs Lakshmi for a second chance, promising to “set everything right.” Classic Rishi—breaking trust and then acting like he’s the hero of a redemption arc.
Meanwhile, Neelam, the queen of manipulation, watches the melodrama unfold, waiting for the “right time” to intervene. Her cryptic scheming with Aanchal adds another layer of ridiculousness to the chaos. Neelam clearly believes she’s playing 4D chess while everyone else is just trying to get through this soap opera of a Lohri celebration. Harleen, ever the romantic, gushes over how “lovely” the event is, proving once again that some people are just here for the spectacle, no matter how absurd it gets.
Rishi, ever the opportunist, decides to turn this public confession into a full-blown ritual by tying a Gathbandhan with Lakshmi’s Dupatta and taking Phere around the Lohri fire. Of course, there’s a dramatic moment where he stops Lakshmi from stepping on glass shards, because what’s a soap without some over-the-top heroics? While Rishi’s busy playing the perfect husband, Malishka seethes in the background, plotting her next move. Her attempts to disrupt the Lohri fire are thwarted by Kiran, who assures her that Plan B will succeed. Newsflash, Malishka: if Plan A failed, maybe it’s time to rethink your whole strategy.
Switching gears to Shalu’s subplot, we find her waking up to Anushka’s unhinged attempts to kill her. Anushka, proving that subtlety is not her forte, decides to smother Shalu with a pillow. Just as things heat up, Varsha walks in, but instead of helping, she gets distracted by a necklace on the couch. Because clearly, stealing jewelry is the priority when someone’s life is on the line. Ayush arrives just in time to save Shalu, turning the situation into a full-blown WWE match. Anushka tries to attack Ayush with a stick, only to get knocked out herself. Varsha, trying to sneak away with her stolen loot, ends up unconscious after a run-in with the door. Honestly, this subplot feels like a slapstick comedy routine masquerading as high-stakes drama.
Back at the Lohri celebration, Ayush and Shalu debate whether to inform the family about Anushka’s murderous antics. They decide to wait because, apparently, preserving the “good atmosphere” is more important than warning everyone about the psycho locked upstairs. Priorities, right?
Meanwhile, Varsha wakes up, escapes with the necklace, and locks the room to prevent Anushka from getting out. Her cunning escape is undercut by her reliance on a random passerby to unlock the door for her. It’s almost impressive how this character manages to oscillate between comical incompetence and sneaky villainy in the span of a single episode.
The episode ends with Malishka, still blinded by jealousy, clinging to Kiran’s promise that their next plan will work. Honestly, watching her flounder is starting to feel like its own subplot—one that’s somehow more entertaining than the main storyline. With glass shards, pillow fights, and failed schemes galore, this episode proves once again that subtlety and logic have no place in this universe.
