Anupama 29th January 2025 Written Update

Anupama 29th January 2025 Written Update Vasundara’s take. The episode kicks off with Anupama instructing Rahi to cover her head before performing the prayer at the Kothari house. Apparently, modesty is a prerequisite for divine blessings—because God keeps track of wardrobe choices now. The situation turns bizarre when Prem calls Anupama for the ritual, comparing her to God (because why not go overboard with the flattery?) and insists she smoke the whole house. Parag objects, saying only family members should do that, but Prem remains stubborn until Anupama finally orders him to do it. Obedient as ever, Prem follows through. Honestly, seeing grown adults debate over who gets to smoke out their own house is peak ritual comedy.

Meanwhile, the Shahs are awestruck by the Kothari family’s lavish display of diamond jewelry. Pakhi, ever the opportunist, urges Ishani to befriend Raja and “trap him” before Mahi does. Because heaven forbid women build meaningful relationships without gold-digging strategies. Ishani is visibly skeptical, judging Raja silently (perhaps wondering why her social circle suddenly resembles a matchmaking service).

Tensions rise when Prem and Rahi share a flirty moment, with Rahi admitting she wants to kiss him but stops herself because the family is around. Priorities, right? Prem then makes an awkward apology to Shri Nath Ji for staying away from the house, because apparently gods need constant attendance like clingy friends. Meanwhile, Vasundara receives a message that Nirmala, who’s undergoing a divorce, wants to meet her. Vasundara immediately refuses, as divorce is apparently more scandalous than public chaos at Kothari’s. Parag chimes in about the rise of divorces among older couples, prompting Paritosh to take a jab at Anupama’s two divorces. Anupama swiftly shuts him down, though not without apologizing on his behalf. Classic Anupama—taking responsibility for nonsense she didn’t even start.

Later, Vasundara brags about cooking all the food by herself because that somehow proves superiority in homemaking. Pakhi, with her usual dose of cluelessness, suggests Rahi will have to cook after marriage. Cue Vasundara’s tired speech comparing independent women with housewives. Thankfully, Rahi claps back with a bold response, defending women’s right to live on their terms.

As the Kotharis attempt to gift Anupama something, she politely declines, but Vasundara and Parag insist she accept it. Talk about forcing hospitality down someone’s throat. They then float the idea of Rahi and Prem’s marriage, but Rahi shocks them by rejecting it outright. Finally, someone with backbone in this chaos of outdated traditions.

In the precap, Rahi declares her focus on building a career. Vasundara fumes at her defiance, confirming yet again that she’s allergic to the idea of independent women. Anupama, in her ever-wise tone, questions how Vasundara will ever manage if she starts off opposing the Shahs. A fair point, but honestly, who’s even surprised by Vasundara’s antics anymore?
