Jhanak 16th March 2025 Written Update: Cringy Drama. Today, in the Jhanak written update, the episode kicks off with Jhanak, the self-appointed moral compass, trying to talk some sense into Lal. He just discovered Bipasha’s past and decided it was a valid reason to kick her out. Because emotional maturity and rational thinking are just not his thing. Jhanak, being Jhanak, goes into full savior mode, insisting that Bipasha has done nothing wrong. Meanwhile, Bipasha, in a rare moment of self-awareness, acknowledges her past misdeeds and apologizes. Jhanak, because she’s contractually obligated to be the bigger person, brushes it off and assures Bipasha that she understands.
While this is happening, Shrishti is busy playing detective, trying to figure out why Arshi isn’t answering her calls. Maybe Arshi is just tired of being a pawn in everyone’s schemes. Vinayak questions her intentions, but Shrishti insists that she wants to “set things right”—which, in TV land, usually means making things even messier. She cryptically tells Vinayak that her plan is a surprise because why be upfront when you can be dramatically mysterious?
Back at the drama central, Jhanak tells Bipasha she has every right to stay in the house. Lal, ever the feminist (note the sarcasm), snaps back, declaring that women like Jhanak and Bipasha have no place in his home. Wow, someone woke up and chose misogyny. He orders Nandini to drag Bipasha out, but Bipasha pulls out the classic “Where will I go?” card. Nandini, for once showing some backbone, reminds Lal that divorce isn’t just about one person’s whims. She argues that Bipasha doesn’t deserve to be abandoned like this and gives a rousing speech about not punishing her for her past. Bipasha, now in full damsel-in-distress mode, collapses into Nandini’s arms as if she’s just been hit by the emotional equivalent of a hurricane.
Not one to let a good dramatic exit go to waste, Lal shoves Bipasha away when she tries to talk to him. Anirudh, probably the only semi-logical character here, calls Lal out for being unnecessarily cruel. But Lal, clearly not interested in any personal growth, declares that he no longer considers Bipasha his wife and storms off. Cue Bipasha dramatically falling to the floor in tears because why suffer quietly when you can make a scene?
Meanwhile, in a completely different plotline (because balance is overrated), Apu is gushing about how much fun she had at an event. Lalon, ever the voice of vague concern, thinks Arshi has changed. Kajol, stirring the pot like a true professional, brings up Sarveshwar, and the group starts speculating about Lal’s reaction. But instead of doing anything productive, they settle on eating food. Priorities, I guess?
Back in the main story, Lal finds Bipasha in their room and demands she leave. Bipasha, refusing to be humiliated in private when public humiliation is an option, argues that it’s their room. Lal, having fully embraced his villainous arc, tells her he’s ashamed of her. She insists that Sarveshwar is the real villain, but Lal, being as reasonable as a rock, refuses to listen. He coldly tells her she can stay in the guest room while he figures out a new arrangement. Bipasha, now channeling her inner soap opera queen, dramatically declares she will leave eventually, but not before making sure she wins this battle of wills.
Meanwhile, Jhanak, still determined to save everyone (even when they don’t ask for it), refuses to give up on Bipasha’s case. Anjana warns her that Lal isn’t about to change his mind, but Jhanak insists they have to try. Tanuja and Shubh, overhearing this mess, basically shrug and walk away. Anjana, sensing impending doom, advises Jhanak to stay out of it, but Jhanak, as always, refuses to mind her own business.
Precap:
Jhanak, still holding onto the belief that logic works in this house, tells Lal that it’s his responsibility to support Bipasha. Arshi, ever the voice of unnecessary antagonism, argues that no one should force Lal to stay in a marriage he doesn’t want. Because when it comes to making things worse, Arshi never misses an opportunity.
Final Thoughts:
This episode was a masterclass in emotional chaos. Lal gets the award for Most Dramatic Overreaction, Bipasha wins Best Tearful Collapse, and Jhanak remains undefeated in the category of Unsolicited Heroism. With everyone either crying, plotting, or storming off, it’s safe to say this family could use a group therapy session—or at least a break from the drama.
