YRKKH 18th March 2025 Written Update: Surrogacy Track Begins. Today in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai written update, the episode begins with Kaveri on a mission to locate Vidya, while Rohit tries to steer clear of her. Despite his efforts, Kaveri spots Vidya and Armaan together. Madhav intervenes, urging Kaveri to let Armaan have a moment with Vidya. Predictably, Kaveri refuses to back down, insisting that it is Armaan who should bow, not Vidya. With her trademark flair for hypocrisy, she labels Armaan as selfish. Madhav swiftly reminds Kaveri of her own history of manipulating Armaan for her selfish motives.
Kaveri, gearing up for her signature melodramatic showdown, prepares to confront Vidya. But before she can unleash her tirade, Abhira boldly intercepts her. In a scene that could make even a seasoned soap opera lover roll their eyes, Abhira lectures Kaveri on her misplaced righteousness. She calls out Kaveri for failing to be a proper mother to Madhav. Naturally, Kaveri, never one to shy away from vile remarks, retaliates by bringing up Abhira’s inability to conceive, adding salt to an already deep wound. To top it off, she cruelly questions Abhira’s worth as a mother.
Shivani, proving to be a rare gem of decency in this family drama, stands up for Abhira. But Kaveri, ever committed to her antagonistic streak, doubles down on her verbal assault. Abhira, determined to uphold some dignity, warns Kaveri not to drag Shivani into her vendetta. Unmoved, Kaveri hurls accusations, holding Abhira responsible for Armaan’s childless state. Armaan, having endured enough of Kaveri’s venom, confronts her. Her taunt about the absence of his child hits him hard, leaving him questioning his ties with the Poddars.
Meanwhile, Manish watches in sheer disbelief, appalled by Kaveri’s heartlessness. As expected, Kaveri finds solace in her victim narrative, pinning the blame on Abhira for all the family’s turmoil. Vidya, in a rare act of defiance, steps in to defend Abhira. She reminds Kaveri that Abhira has been making genuine efforts to mend the fractured family bonds. Madhav, however, cynically points out that Vidya’s sudden moral awakening has come far too late.
The tension escalates as Vidya lays bare the truth: Kaveri’s unrelenting ego is what’s truly tearing the family apart. Kaveri, being the queen of denial, naturally brushes this off. Meanwhile, Armaan stews over Kaveri’s words, the emotional wounds clearly etched on his face. Shivani, realizing the depths of Abhira’s pain, regrets her insensitivity in discussing children in Abhira’s presence. United in their empathy, Armaan and Shivani resolve to stand by Abhira.
In the midst of this emotional wreckage, Abhira crumbles. Armaan and Shivani rally around her, desperate to lift her spirits. Thankfully, the rest of the family, in a rare moment of collective support, comes together. Manish and others channel their energy into cooking, perhaps thinking culinary skills might heal emotional scars. Meanwhile, Armaan and Rohit engage in dishwashing, a task that seemingly serves as symbolic penance.
In the corner, Daksh begins to cry, and Ruhi’s futile attempts to calm him provide an unexpected comedic break. Abhira, ever the nurturing figure, steps in and soothes Daksh, claiming the baby was simply feeling hot. Ruhi, visibly grateful, acknowledges Abhira’s warmth and patience.
But the plot, ever relentless, takes another dramatic turn. The doctor breaks the devastating news to Abhira: the IVF attempt has failed. While many would understandably take a moment to process such crushing disappointment, Abhira, in true melodramatic fashion, immediately demands alternatives. The doctor suggests surrogacy IVF, planting the seed for the next inevitable series of heated debates, moral dilemmas, and over-the-top family interference.
With yet another round of chaos brewing, viewers can brace themselves for the upcoming melodrama. The Poddar family remains a shining example of why family therapy should be a legal mandate in soap operas. Between Kaveri’s constant tantrums, Armaan’s emotional whiplash, and Abhira’s resilience, the drama never ceases. One can only hope the future holds some semblance of peace for these perpetually tormented souls—but then again, what fun would that be?
