Lakshmi Ka Safar 17th February 2026 Written Update: Karan Names Lakshmi’s Baby Shanvi

The episode begins with Karan confronting Lakshmi after seeing the pregnancy reports. He angrily tells her that the reports carry her name, not Jia’s. Lakshmi is stunned and cannot believe what she is seeing. For a moment, she stands speechless, trying to understand how the truth she was so sure about has suddenly turned against her.

Lakshmi recalls the moment she had left the reports on the bed. Slowly, she realizes what must have happened. Jia created a distraction by throwing the baby’s cradle into the garbage so Lakshmi would rush out in panic. During that chaos, Jia must have swapped the reports. Lakshmi tries to explain this to Karan, but he refuses to listen. His anger has already built a wall between them, and he walks away without giving her a chance to prove herself.

Karan retreats to his room and begins drinking. Bhavani comes to him and tries to make him understand that alcohol will not solve anything and will only destroy him further. Karan replies bitterly that everything is already destroyed. He admits that he does not hate the baby; in fact, he likes the child. But every time he sees the baby, he is reminded of what he believes is Lakshmi’s betrayal. Lakshmi overhears part of this conversation, but not the entire truth. She hears only the painful words about betrayal, which shatter her even more.

Jia soon approaches Lakshmi and mocks her, questioning how her relationship with Karan can survive now. At the same time, Bhavani asks Karan whether he has thought about his future with Lakshmi. Karan says he does not know what lies ahead. It is revealed that Jia had earlier manipulated Bhavani into influencing Karan and pushing him further away from Lakshmi. Jia feels satisfied, believing her plan is working perfectly.

Just then, a priest arrives at the house. Lakshmi tells him that it is not the right time to conduct the Naamkaran ceremony and asks him to return later. But the priest explains that the day is highly auspicious and there will not be another favorable date soon. After hearing this, Lakshmi decides to proceed with the ceremony, determined to at least give her baby a proper identity despite everything happening around her.

Lakshmi begins preparing for the ritual. Bhavani taunts her mercilessly, saying she has no shame to continue the ceremony when the entire family has rejected her and the baby. Bhavani declares that no one in the family will participate and leaves with Dadi, leaving Lakshmi alone to perform the ritual.

During the ceremony, the priest places a bowl of names and tells Lakshmi to pick one, explaining that ideally the father should name the child. Lakshmi replies with quiet strength that she is both the mother and the father of her baby. Karan overhears these words from a distance. Despite his anger, something stirs within him. Quietly, he writes a name and slips it into the bowl without anyone noticing.

Lakshmi closes her eyes and picks a slip. The name written on it is “Shanvi.” For a brief moment, Karan feels a strange sense of connection, knowing that the baby now carries the name he chose. Lakshmi wonders who wrote the name, as she knows she did not. Jia and Bhavani watch this silently, both surprised that Karan could not completely distance himself from the child.

Later, Jia notices Lakshmi walking past her room. She begins arguing with Krish and deliberately creates a scene so Lakshmi overhears. Jia and Krish then manipulate the situation, making Lakshmi believe that Krish was the one who placed the name in the bowl. Lakshmi remains confused but accepts what she hears, unaware of Karan’s silent gesture.

Meanwhile, Manny informs Karan that an important client, Khatri, has set a condition. The deal will only go through if both Karan and Lakshmi attend the meeting together. Karan refuses immediately, saying he will go alone or drop the deal entirely. Manny reminds him that the company is already facing losses and cannot afford to lose such an opportunity.

Lakshmi steps in and tells Manny to arrange the meeting. She says that she and Karan will both attend because the company’s future is at stake. Her decision surprises Karan, but she remains calm and firm, choosing responsibility over personal pain.

The episode ends with the tension between Karan and Lakshmi still unresolved but with small signs that their emotional bond is not completely broken.

Precap: Lakshmi enters Karan’s room at night while he is asleep and leaves a letter beside him. She writes that she loves him deeply and that the letter contains the truth about the baby. The next day, Karan reads the letter.

Lakshmi Ka Safar 17th February 2026 Written Update Review

This episode balances emotional drama with subtle character moments. The naming ceremony becomes the emotional highlight, especially Karan secretly naming the baby, which quietly reveals that his anger has not erased his feelings. Lakshmi’s strength also stands out, as she continues to fight for both her child and her dignity despite constant humiliation.

Jia’s manipulation remains consistent with her character, and her schemes continue to drive the conflict forward. The story is slowly building toward a moment when the truth about the baby will finally be exposed, and the anticipation keeps the narrative engaging.
