Dr. Aarambhi 18th May 2026 Written Update: Avantika Kidnaps Vihaan to Destroy Aarambhi’s Career
The episode starts with Avantika warning Aarambhi to be extremely careful while handling Kunika’s surgery because she is the trustee of the hospital. She also asks Aarambhi to keep her informed about every step of the treatment plan.
Aarambhi agrees professionally, unaware that Avantika is secretly plotting against her. Avantika thinks to herself that she will destroy Aarambhi’s medical career and prove her to be the worst mother as well.
Soon, Aarambhi steps outside and calls her mother Manju. She requests her to pick up Vihaan from his judo class because she is stuck at the hospital due to Kunika’s case.
Manju indirectly taunts Aarambhi for working so much and says this is exactly why she advised her not to take up a demanding job. According to her, Aarambhi is unable to properly care for her own son.
Balbir quickly takes the phone from Manju and comforts his daughter. He assures Aarambhi that they will safely bring Vihaan home and asks her not to stress.
Unfortunately, Avantika overhears the entire conversation and immediately realizes this is the perfect opportunity to execute her dangerous kidnapping plan. She silently smirks and thinks that elderly grandparents will never be able to protect Vihaan from professional goons.
Elsewhere, Manmeet enters a beautifully decorated room and notices romantic messages written on cards around her. Raj comes forward and reveals that everything is arranged by him.
Raj emotionally confesses his love to Manmeet and asks if she is willing to give their relationship a chance. He tells her that if her answer is yes, she should remain standing inside the heart-shaped decoration.
Manmeet silently stays there, indirectly accepting his feelings. She tries to tell Raj an important truth about her life, but before she can speak, Raj receives an emergency call from the hospital.
Raj leaves immediately and promises they will talk properly once he returns. Manmeet gets emotional and thinks she wanted to tell him her secrets but fate interrupted again.
Back at the hospital, Vishwas checks Kunika and assures her that she will receive the best treatment possible. Kunika says she fully trusts Aarambhi.
Vishwas behaves unusually positive, making Aarambhi suspicious about everyone’s sudden support.
Aarambhi then checks Kunika’s BP before surgery and simultaneously calls her father to confirm whether they picked up Vihaan from judo class.
Balbir answers the call and happily says Vihaan is safe and eating ice cream. Suddenly, chaos erupts.
The goons hired by Avantika attack Balbir and Manju and forcibly kidnap Vihaan. Aarambhi hears Vihaan screaming in fear before the call disconnects abruptly.
A terrified Aarambhi immediately panics.
Kunika notices her condition and advises her not to panic and try calling again.
Meanwhile, the kidnappers inform Avantika that Vihaan has been taken to the location she selected. Avantika feels victorious and thinks now Aarambhi will be forced to choose between her son and her medical duty.
Aarambhi desperately tries calling her parents again, but nobody answers. Moments later, she receives a threatening message from the kidnappers and gets completely shattered.
She silently vows that she will not let anything happen to her son.
Aarambhi first decides to inform Vishwas about the kidnapping, but learns he is busy inside the operation theatre. She then rushes toward Dimple’s cabin for help, only to discover it empty too.
She tries calling Dimple repeatedly.
At the same time, it is revealed that Dimple is secretly meeting a mysterious man and handing over information about Manmeet’s flat location. She tells him that Manmeet is now his responsibility.
Back at the hospital, Aarambhi finally spots Raj nearby and runs toward him for help.
Before she can speak, Avantika sends a horrifying video showing Vihaan crying and begging his mother to save him from the kidnappers.
Raj notices Aarambhi’s frightened state and asks if she is alright. But Aarambhi lies and says everything is fine because the kidnappers warned her not to involve anyone from her family.
Raj leaves without learning the truth.
Soon after, Aarambhi receives another horrifying message threatening to cut off Vihaan’s fingers and hands if she refuses to obey their orders.
Avantika silently celebrates her victory and thinks Aarambhi now has to choose between saving her patient and saving her son.
Completely helpless, Aarambhi breaks down into tears.
The episode ends on a heartbreaking and suspenseful note.
Review
This episode delivered pure emotional tension from start to finish. Avantika’s manipulation has now crossed terrifying limits, making her one of the darkest characters in the show right now.
The kidnapping sequence was genuinely intense and emotionally disturbing, especially because Aarambhi was forced to silently suffer while surrounded by people who could have helped her.
Raj and Manmeet’s emotional scene added softness before the story turned completely dark. Their interrupted confession sequence was beautifully emotional.
The episode successfully raised the stakes for Aarambhi both professionally and personally.
