Do Duniya Ek Dil 17th July 2026 Written Update: Monica Wins Shivay’s Heart as Sonam’s Dangerous Plan Begins
The episode begins with Sonam asking Suraj what he thinks about Monica. Suraj admits that he likes her a lot. Sonam reminds him that Monica is her sister and reveals her shocking plan to unite Monica with Shivay. She dreams of both sisters living in the same house after Monica marries Shivay. Suraj points out that Shivay is already married, making it impossible. Sonam confidently replies that anything is possible.
Meanwhile, Baldev lashes out at Beema for failing to protect his house. He questions how Bunty managed to enter his home and attempt to kidnap Aadhya. Furious over his daughter’s suffering, Baldev orders Beema to capture Bunty within 24 hours. Beema assures him that Bunty will soon be brought before him.
Later, Sonam catches Monica preparing food for Shivay. She praises Monica for caring so much about him despite being only a guest. Sonam cleverly suggests that Monica should marry Shivay. Shocked, Monica refuses, reminding her that Shivay is already married to Aadhya.
Sonam continues manipulating Monica. She claims that Aadhya betrayed Shivay and insists that Monica would make a much better life partner for him. She points out that Shivay respects Monica and even has feelings for her. Suraj joins the conversation and lies that Shivay secretly likes Monica. He tells her she should take advantage of the opportunity because Aadhya is not the right woman for Shivay. Although Monica feels uncomfortable, Sonam asks her to think about it carefully.
Afterward, Suraj privately tells Sonam that they are misleading Monica and the truth will eventually come out. Sonam confidently says everything will work out in their favour.
Left alone, Monica begins remembering Shivay’s kindness and support. Slowly, she starts developing feelings for him.
Elsewhere, Aadhya lovingly decorates Shivay’s late father’s photograph ahead of his birthday. She knows how much Shivay admired his father and wants to make the day special. As she leaves, a flower falls from the frame. She quietly places it back.
Shivay arrives and notices the decoration. Before Aadhya can explain, Sonam falsely claims that Monica decorated everything for his birthday. Monica immediately tries to reveal the truth, but Sonam interrupts her. Believing Monica arranged everything, Shivay thanks her warmly before leaving. Aadhya silently watches the misunderstanding grow.
Monica tells Sonam that Aadhya deserves the credit, but Sonam advises her to accept the praise, saying small gestures can easily win Shivay’s heart.
Meanwhile, Beema kidnaps Bunty from jail, setting up another dangerous twist.
Back at home, Aadhya beautifully decorates the house for Shivay’s birthday celebration. Pratima praises the arrangements and proudly tells everyone that it is all Aadhya’s hard work and love for Shivay. Ahmed and Nandu excitedly discuss the birthday plan.
Sonam notices Shivay staying alone on the terrace. Monica volunteers to bring him downstairs. Sonam and Suraj even bet with Nandu that Monica will fail. If Shivay comes downstairs, they agree to pay Nandu.
On the terrace, Monica wishes Shivay a happy birthday and invites him to celebrate with everyone. Shivay says he isn’t in the mood and wants to remain alone. Monica respects his decision but asks if she can simply sit beside him as a friend. Shivay agrees.
Monica reminds Shivay how he supported her during difficult times and accepted her friendship. She says a true friend cannot leave him alone on his birthday and requests him to join his family. Touched by her words, Shivay finally agrees.
Everyone is pleasantly surprised when Monica successfully brings Shivay downstairs. Sonam immediately gives Monica full credit. Aadhya quietly thanks Monica despite knowing the truth.
Later, the family begins playing a movie guessing game. During Aadhya’s turn, Shivay correctly understands her clues but deliberately remains silent. Monica answers correctly instead. When Monica gives her clues, Shivay instantly guesses the right answer, leaving Monica even more attracted to him.
Elsewhere, Baldev’s temper reaches another dangerous level when a cabinet minister’s son insults him, mocks his past, and makes offensive remarks about Aadhya. Furious, Baldev pulls out his gun and fires. The young men flee in panic.
Back at the birthday party, Nandu encourages Sonam to dance, and the entire family joins the celebration. Aadhya happily dances with Pratima as the atmosphere turns festive.
