Bareilly Ke Bacchan Upcoming 18th August 2026 Written Update: Sangam’s Family Breaks Her Heart, But Her Determination Only Gets Stronger
Colors TV’s Bareilly Ke Bacchan is bringing an emotional track for Sangam as she returns to her maternal home hoping that her family will finally understand her feelings. Unfortunately, instead of receiving the warmth and acceptance she desperately needs, Sangam finds herself facing even more rejection.
After marriage, returning to one’s parental home is naturally an emotional experience. No matter how happy a woman may be in her married life, leaving the home where she grew up and adjusting to a completely new family can take time. So, when she finally returns to her parents, there is usually a special sense of comfort and belonging.
But Sangam’s experience is completely different.
She comes back hoping that her family will understand her and perhaps give her another chance. Deep down, she believes that if her father accepts her dreams and feelings, she may never have to return to Krishna’s house.
Unfortunately, her expectations are shattered.
Sangam’s biggest hope was her father. She believes that parents are the people children naturally turn towards when they are hurt or confused. When that support disappears, a person can eventually feel forced to rebel.
That is exactly what happens with Sangam.
Instead of understanding her daughter, her father takes an extreme step. He burns Sangam’s certificates, effectively trying to destroy the achievements she has worked so hard for.
For Sangam, those certificates are not merely pieces of paper.
They represent her education, her hard work and, most importantly, her dreams.
She had returned home hoping that her parents would give her a chance to stay, understand her situation and allow her to pursue the dreams she had been fighting for.
Instead, she is made to feel that she has no place there.
Sangam admits that she did not return merely looking for closure. She came with hope.
She wanted her family to understand her.
She wanted another opportunity.
She wanted to believe that her parents would eventually support her dreams.
But since coming home, all she has experienced is crying, rejection and disappointment.
Even the burning of her certificates becomes another painful reminder that her father is unwilling to accept the path she has chosen.
Yet there is one thing her family fails to understand.
Sangam is not someone who gives up easily.
Instead of weakening her, this rejection makes her determination even stronger.
She has already faced problems at her in-laws’ house, and now she is dealing with rejection from her own family. But rather than surrendering her dreams, Sangam appears more determined than ever to prove herself.
The situation becomes even more painful when her mother also slaps her.
Whatever little hope Sangam had left begins to disappear after this.
But even then, she refuses to let her dreams die.
Meanwhile, Vicky continues to make matters worse.
Sangam never liked Vicky in the first place, and his behaviour is only increasing her frustration. He continues trying to create problems and influence her father, seemingly hoping that Sangam will eventually be pushed away from her current life and come closer to him.
But Sangam has other priorities.
Right now, she is far more concerned about her certificates, her career and her dreams than Vicky.
She is clearly not interested in giving him the attention he wants.
Vicky, however, refuses to understand the message.
He continues following Sangam and trying to provoke her.
This is likely to result in another confrontation between the two, with Sangam finally losing patience and telling him to stop following her.
Interestingly, the actor playing Vicky acknowledges that viewers are angry with his character.
He says that people telling him they love him as an actor but hate him because of Vicky is actually a huge compliment. It means he is successfully portraying the negative character in a way that makes the audience genuinely dislike his actions.
And in that sense, Vicky is certainly doing his job well.
His constant interference is making Sangam’s journey even more difficult, while also giving the audience another character to root against.
However, Vicky may continue trying whatever he can, but Sangam’s determination is much stronger.
She has already lost the emotional support she expected from her parents. She has seen her certificates being destroyed and has endured rejection from the people she expected to stand beside her.
Yet she is still standing.
Her dreams remain intact.
The destruction of her certificates may have been an attempt to stop Sangam from moving forward, but it could instead become the very moment that pushes her to fight harder.
Sangam now has something to prove — not just to Vicky or her in-laws, but to her own family.
She wants to show them that destroying her certificates cannot destroy her ability or ambition.
The upcoming episodes are therefore likely to focus on Sangam’s struggle to rebuild herself after this emotional setback.
Will her father eventually realize how badly he has hurt his daughter?
Will her mother understand that forcing Sangam to give up her dreams will only push her further away?
And most importantly, will Sangam succeed in fulfilling her dreams despite her family’s opposition?
For now, one thing is clear: Sangam may be heartbroken, but she is certainly not defeated.
Review
This track gives Sangam a strong emotional arc. The burning of her certificates is particularly painful because it represents her father’s attempt to take away the future she has worked for. But instead of making Sangam weak, the rejection seems to be strengthening her resolve.
Vicky’s constant interference adds another layer of frustration, although his negative behaviour is clearly working from a storytelling perspective. The real emotional heart of the track remains Sangam’s relationship with her parents and her fight to preserve her dreams despite their rejection.
Rating: 4.5/5
