Mai to stream on Netflix from 15th April 2022

Mai to stream on Netflix from 15th April 2022 Sakshi Tanwar who become a household name in the world of TV, films, and web series is back again with a spectacular series titled Mai. She has various credits to her name like Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, Bade Achhe Lagte Hain, 24: Season 2, Dangal, Dial 100, Karrle Tu Bhi Mohabbat, and Mission Over Mars etc. In Mai she plays a middle-class mother whose daughter is killed and so she embarks on a journey to punish the offenders by taking the law into her hands. The journey to reach the criminals is not smooth as she has to travel her way via deceitful government officials and hideous legislative activities.

Sakshi Tanwar’s ‘Mai’ seems to have similar themes to that of Mom and Maatr as these movies too aimed at the love of the mother breaking the barriers of law and punishing the culprits. Sakshi will be seen as a coy woman but when her daughter dies she changes herself into a fearless one. The recently released trailer of Mai promises a great show to watch out for. It is all about a mother taking different forms and going to any extent for the love of her daughter.

Actress Raima Sen took to her Instagram profile and shared the first look and release date of the promo. She captioned it as: “Finally trailer out tom .super excited ..Don’t underestimate the power of Mai. Stay tuned #Mai on @netflix_in”. Raima Sen (Black Widows) will be seen in a villainous avatar and giving a tough time to Sakshi’s character in Mai. It is a perfect crime thriller with ingredients of love and emotions. Fans of Sakhi Tanwar are excitedly awaiting Mai to spread its magic on the OTT screens and also in their hearts. With a multitalented star cast and a bunch of talented writers and directors, Mai will confidently present a genius plot.

According to the speculations actors Vivek Mushran (Veere Di Wedding), Seema Pahwa (Gangubai Kathiawadi), Anant Vidhaat (Mardaani), Vaibhav Raj Gupta (Gullak), Wamiqa Gabbi (83), and Prashant Narayanan (Murder 2) will also be a part of this film. The movie is directed by Anshai Lal and Atul Mongia and produced by Karnesh Ssharma. The season one of Mai will start streaming on Netflix India from 15th April 2022 onwards.
