Kumkum Bhagya 23rd January 2025 Written Update. The episode opens with Diya reassuring RV that Khushi is fine, which honestly feels more like an obligatory line than genuine concern. RV, in his usual brooding style, agrees but makes it painfully clear he only saved Khushi because she’s Purvi’s sister—way to flex those priorities, RV. Moments later, RV spots Jasbir and unleashes a WWE-style smackdown. Meanwhile, Khushi watches this display of macho aggression and suddenly decides RV loves her. Yes, because nothing says “true love” like a casual street fight. She dramatically vows by the fire to win RV back, because why not throw in some unnecessary theatrics?
As RV continues his Jasbir-chasing spree, we cut to Monisha, who is busy delivering her villainous monologue to Purvi. Monisha blames Purvi for everything under the sun and then sets the place on fire, shouting for help while pointing fingers at Neha. Subtlety clearly isn’t her strong suit. The Malhotra family gathers to brainstorm ways to save Purvi and Monisha, which essentially involves yelling orders and accomplishing absolutely nothing. Harleen commands everyone to break the door, but they fail miserably because, surprise, the fire has already spread. Monisha, proving she’s the only one with a functioning brain (albeit for evil plans), escapes through a window while Purvi is left to stew in her misery.
Harleen tells Vikrant to call the fire brigade, which feels like something they should’ve done five scenes ago. Meanwhile, Dadaji orders Harman to fetch water, because a bucket of water is totally going to extinguish a raging fire. RV, still chasing Jasbir, gets into a predictable action sequence where Jasbir takes a cop hostage. After a generic fight scene, Jasbir is arrested. Monisha, lurking in the shadows like every clichéd villain ever, vows to save him, because apparently, she’s the mastermind of this circus.
Back at the burning house, RV finally learns that Purvi is trapped in the fire. Cue dramatic entrance. Khushi, conveniently incapacitated by pain, contributes absolutely nothing to the chaos. RV tries to pull a hero move and rushes toward the fire, but Harleen pleads with him not to be reckless. Of course, RV pulls the ultimate emotional blackmail by making her swear on him. Because nothing solves life-threatening situations like guilt-tripping family members.
RV, determined to save the day, decides to enter through the guest washroom window, which raises the question: why does every TV house have a conveniently accessible guest washroom window during emergencies? Meanwhile, Jasbir, now in police custody, threatens Monisha in the most melodramatic way possible, warning that if he goes down, he’s taking her with him. Monisha, ever resourceful, smears mud on her face and cooks up a plan to save him. Because why deal with real problems when you can just smear mud and plot revenge?
RV finally reaches Purvi, unties her, and brings her out. Harleen asks if Purvi is alright, and RV reassures everyone with his classic “hero” line, “I’m here to save her, don’t worry.” The family breathes a sigh of relief, but honestly, the real question is: why was everyone just standing around while RV played firefighter? Another day, another drama-filled episode where logic takes a backseat.
