Vasudha 13th December 2025 Written Update: Cruel Twist of Fate. The episode opens at the temple, where tension hangs heavy in the air. Vasudha senses the emotional weight Chandrika is carrying and tells Dev and Avinash that Chandrika needs both of them right now. She assures them that she is with Divya and will take care of her. Avinash agrees immediately, saying Vasudha is right and that they must rush to the hospital. Dev nods in agreement, understanding that the situation has crossed the point of delay.
At the temple, prayers continue with intense devotion. Divya folds her hands and whispers blessings, praying that the power of the vrat brings Prabhat back to health. The priest announces that the puja is ready to begin and asks everyone to come forward. She calls Vasudha closer and reminds her that the relationship for which she is performing this puja gives Vasudha the same right as well. Vasudha steps forward silently, her eyes filled with faith and fear.
Chandrika prays with trembling hands, begging the divine mother to protect Prabhat. She calls him the backbone of the house, the reason the family stands united, and pleads for his long life. Her devotion is raw and desperate, shaped by love and guilt.
The priest then announces the next phase of the vrat. Divya is instructed to beg for alms from five houses. She must remain silent until the vrat is complete and cannot reveal her identity or the reason behind seeking alms. Whatever grains she receives must be used to prepare prasad within the temple premises. No obstacle must interrupt this process, and once begun, the vrat cannot be abandoned midway. Divya bows her head and accepts the instructions.
Back inside the temple, Chandrika’s next stage of tapasya begins. Guru ji explains that the second phase of the vrat is even more difficult. Chandrika must perform this penance for Prabhat’s life and the safety of her suhaag. She listens attentively as Guru ji instructs her to step into a large vessel filled with water. Tulsi leaves are added, symbolizing health and purity. Chandrika is told that this water is sacred, life-giving Ganga jal, and she must now place the plate filled with this water on her head.
Guru ji warns her that she must climb the temple steps while sitting, without letting even a drop of water spill. If a single drop falls, it could bring harm to Prabhat. The difficulty of the task shocks everyone present. Avinash voices what others are thinking, saying this seems impossible. Guru ji calmly replies that saving a life is never easy, and that is why this vrat holds such immense power. Chandrika listens quietly and says that no force is stronger than determination. She declares she will complete it because she has taken the vow.
Chandrika begins her ascent. Each step tests her body and spirit. Her hands shake, sweat trickles down her face, yet the plate remains steady. Dev watches with a heavy heart, torn between faith and fear. Chants echo through the temple as Chandrika continues, refusing to stop.
Meanwhile, Divya faces her own trial. She moves from house to house, barefoot, her lips sealed in silence. Doors close on her face. People hesitate, question her presence, and some even turn her away. Tears fill her eyes as she wonders if fate itself is testing her resolve. She asks herself if she truly must complete this vrat to save her father-in-law. Determination hardens inside her. She refuses to turn back and continues forward, vowing she will finish what she has started.
At the hospital, the atmosphere grows critical. A nurse approaches Vasudha urgently, asking if she belongs to the patient’s family. Vasudha follows her inside where the doctor explains the gravity of the situation. He reveals that Prabhat could suffer a fourth heart attack at any moment. His condition is deteriorating rapidly, and an immediate major surgery is required. The doctor insists that the operation cannot begin without consent from Chandrika or a senior family member.
The doctor explains the consent form carefully. The surgery carries only a two percent chance of survival and a ninety-eight percent risk. The family must sign, acknowledging that the hospital and doctors cannot be held responsible if Prabhat does not survive. Without this signature, the surgery cannot proceed.
Vasudha listens, shaken. She pleads for the operation to begin immediately, but the doctor refuses. At that moment, Sarika storms in and creates chaos. She accuses Vasudha of trying to interfere with Chandrika’s vrat and claims Vasudha has no right to take decisions. She declares that no outsider should weaken the effect of Chandrika’s penance by signing the form.
The doctor urges Sarika to sign, explaining time is slipping away. Sarika flatly refuses, saying she will not take responsibility. She even suggests that if the surgery is so dangerous, it should not be done at all. Her cruelty shocks everyone present. The doctor warns that if they delay further, even the two percent chance will be lost.
Dev arrives in a rush. He understands instantly what must be done. He tells Vasudha that she has to sign. She is his wife, Prabhat’s daughter-in-law, and the senior-most family member present. He assures her that whatever decision she takes will be right.
Vasudha hesitates, torn between fear and duty. She questions whether she has the right. Dev reminds her that being his wife gives her that right, and saving Prabhat’s life matters more than any ego or objection.
Sarika explodes, calling Vasudha a servant who was thrown out of the house and accusing her of dragging Prabhat toward death. She mocks Vasudha’s courage and questions her authority. Vasudha listens silently and then steps forward with strength she never knew she possessed.
She introduces herself clearly to the doctor as Vasudha, wife of Devansh Singh Chauhan, elder daughter-in-law of the Chauhan family. She signs the consent form with steady hands and orders the doctor to begin the operation immediately.
As the nurses rush inside, Vasudha folds her hands and prays. She tells the divine mother that she has obeyed her duty and now everything rests in God’s hands. Sarika hisses that Vasudha has made a fatal mistake and predicts disaster. Dev shuts her down, declaring that Vasudha did exactly what was needed. Avinash supports him, thanking Vasudha for understanding the seriousness of the moment when others failed.
The doctor takes Prabhat into surgery. The corridor fills with silence and fear. Vasudha stands still, her heart pounding, whispering prayers for her father-in-law’s life.
Just then, a television screen flickers to life in the hospital lobby. Breaking news flashes across the screen. The reporter announces that Chauhan Group of Industries’ founder and Chandrika Singh Chauhan’s husband, Prabhat Singh Chauhan, has passed away despite all medical efforts. The words hit like thunder.
The screen continues, stating that Prabhat had been ill for several days and doctors tried everything to save him, but destiny had other plans. The episode ends with Vasudha standing frozen, Divya staring at the screen in disbelief, and the hospital corridor echoing with a silence heavier than grief. The battle of faith, sacrifice, and responsibility ends in tragedy, leaving behind shattered hearts and unanswered questions.
